As you can see from the date on it, Amateur Physics for the Amateur Pool Player has been around for 20 years - it's the original basis for much of the pool science we know today. Ron's a scientist at Argonne National Laboratory and an old friend from the RSB forum - don't know why he never migrated over here.

All I can say is, awesome!

I imagine there won't be many who actually go through this and read it, but if you do
glean what you can.

As a pool player, especially see Section 2: "Slide and Natural Roll."
You don't need to pay too much attention to the math. The narrative
should provide enough relevant insight.

This section also provides a few practical exercises as well.

It's great knowledge!

There are a few guys whose posts I miss from the RSB days. Ron and Blackjack Dave Sapolis are two that come to mind. Lots of knowledge. Anyone heard from these guys in awhile?

I'm still around. I skim through the forums about once or twice a week now - sometimes less than that. Occasionally I will see Ron in a Youtube video - playing in the 14.1 Leagues in Chicago. I hope you are doing well!
 
Ron just doesn't have a hide as thick as yours. :D
