Help identifying cue

Got this cue lately and am curious if anyone is familiar with the ringwork or anything that might help identify the maker. Its a quality build, nice titlist conversion with all white being ivory.






 
To me it looks like a Titlist conversion. The 17 weight stamp is visible. The cue looks badass.

Hope this link works. Look for post #42 . Cue made by Boone Talmadge. Last name was likely misspelled. Everything about your cue matches this one as far as components and dimensions. I believe it was made by him.

In another post Fast N Loose described him as leaning from Kikel and being out of Pueblo CO. A Web search of his name yields next to nothing.

It's not a Helmstetter. Nothing about the cue would give any indication that it would be a Helmstetter.

The cue is a Titlist conversion, built by Boone Talmadge. I sold it a few years back. He's not easy to find, and I wasn't able to get much information about him. Cue played nice, and felt to be a solidly built cue.

I no longer have my pictures of the cue, and I do not remember who I sold/traded it to, but it is certainly the cue I had.
 
It's gotta be a Talmadge...10 ivory block rings, collar at base of the forearm, pin is rounded bullet nose, layout of buttsleeve, buttcap and bumper are identical.

Look above, there's confirmation. It's a beauty. Well built.

It's that cue. Someone had the wrap changed.

I learned that he had ZERO affiliation with Kikel. (I was called by Dave)
 
It's well made. I'd love to shoot a few racks with it. So many guys 30 years back could make a decent cue. Today there's literally hundreds plus your hobbyists. Still Titlists are converted. There's nothing as cool as old school.

I have an old Helmstetter shaft with the same collars, but not ivory...
...from the days before Richard got involved with Adam.

...but I've never seen a Helmstetter Titlist conversion.
 
Thanks everyone. Going to throw a few bucks into it and get it back into its prior shape. Add it to my poor but growing titlist collection. Love these old cues. I'll post pics of it when it is done.
