A folded Dollar bill does the trick just fine... Plus, it's thin enough where it won't cause slow rolling balls to alter course if they happen to roll over it. Break cloth can get in the way.

I only use a break pad when I practice. In real games, I like ala-natural...

Same here when I'm at the poolhall. I try to be considerate and put a barrier underneath when I practice my break exclusively from the same spot, especially jump shots. Otherwise, just like you I like all natural, aka bareback.
