Nothing fancy. Just players.
First one is a Black Beauty my late mentor started making for me . Black paper phenolic forearm and buttsleeve . This material is no longer available. The black paper phenolic you get these days will not have those curls/weaves. I don't even know if you can get them in black. The last ones I saw tore up bad .
The late Hank Corsair made the Black Beauty famous. My late mentor apprenticed with him . The matching shaft has some really tight grains. I couldn't count the rings. I'm matching it up with another one that will be around the same weight and stiffness. The ring count, I can't match.
I'll finish it like Zylr cue. It will have a 1" Ivor-X ferrules . Stag collars ( the best there is ).

Second one is an ebony dufferin conversion. Pain in the behind to make . Got a few of them but the front were thin already ( like house cues ). So I couldn't play with evening the points . Has real nice maple front. This one is meant to go to wars with .

the curls look great Joey, the phenolic just sleeves over core wood on the forearm and sleeve? if yes. what is the wood through out the cue?

and, does it have a owner already? :p

It's cored with maple . Handle is purpleheart.

Contact me when the left cue is done. I'm very interested. Thanks in advance Joey.

Damien.

I just test hit the sneaky after I epoxy coated it last night .
It hits so good, it will make you cry. It hits like one-piece house cue with real ferrule and tip ( milk dud ).
I wish I can enter it in cue hit contest .
It's paired with a 4 oz shaft.
I reduced the weight of the ebony by gun drilling some 7" from the bottom and plugged it with maple. The balance is just right .
