You're one of the guys taking that money, and making a living from it. And you choose to make fun of everything I say. I'm a paying customer for JB Cases, and bought a bunjee jumper. So you, in some way, have a career because of people like me. You've done absolutely nothing for me or my family. Put no bread on my table. Done nothing to benefit society in general. You are basically a guy that contracts people to make things for you in China, and profits from their efforts.
I don't aspire to be you, or anything like you. You live for conflict. And you actually think you're relevant in the industry. If you disappeared tomorrow, there would still be cue cases. And in 3 years, you'd be forgotten, aside from being the guy that lost $10k over a stupid aiming argument on the Internet. Someone else would hire your workers, and the same cases will go out with someone else's name on it. Instroke didn't shrivel up and die when John Collins left. You're the guy on the Oxy Clean tv commercials. There was the guy with the beard. He died. Then there was Vince. He went to jail. You're just a talking head. A poor man's Kevin Trudeau.

You know why Instroke didn't die? Because I created a good product and when I left they got to keep the good product. I created it. Then I got on the road and built the brand door-to-door.
You know what other product is still selling well? Bunjee Jump Cue and Jump Break Cues. Yep, that brand endures because of my efforts to promote them for several years, teaching hundreds of people around the world, making training videos and supplying thousands of people with great cues. You know why Billy Mays did so well, he understood the product, he understood that he was selling a product that really worked and how to demonstrate it effectively. There was nothing anyone else on earth knew more about Oxy Clean than Billy Mays. That's why the brand endures after he is gone - because it was a combination of a good product and a good salesman.
I am both. I BUILD products that are good and dependable and I sell them with confidence because I know everything about them. If I die today then JB Cases will keep going because my team was taught to build great cases by ME and my family knows what I expect to be done on each case. And anyone who sells them knows they are selling a good product that their customers can depend on. I build products that don't depend on me to be the one making them. That you don't get that is not surprising.
So keep being childish and trying to denigrate me just because you can't stand to lose an argument where you make up your own facts.
As for your quip about talking down to you as a customer. Save it. You go far beyond the customer role with the way you talk to and about and down to makers. I am not one of those makers that kisses the asses of customers. Not now, not with Instroke, not with Bunjee, not ever. I don't dance for your dollars Shawn so maybe that tack works on others but not on me.
I have a career DESPITE people like you. People like you are the reason people like me get disgusted with dealing with customers. Let's tackle the last one shall we? While I do make luxury products that no one really needs.....sales of those products does employ 18 people on two continents. The revenue supports their families and my wife and two children. In addition UPS/DHL/FEDEX/USPS drivers get a lot of money from our business. Not to mention whatever the tax dollars get spent on. Oh and the exhibitions that get my money for booth space, the hotels and their employees, etc etc etc....seems to me that I am quite a productive member of society, much more so than you who takes a paycheck from someone like me every week.
Nice way to conduct yourself in a discussion about jump cues. All because you have a different opinion that in the end means NOTHING? I mean if you HONESTLY cared about it then you would be PETITIONING the WPA/CSI/BCA/VNEA/BARRY BEHRMAN and everyone else that allows jump cues to bar them.
But you don't do you? No, instead you bleat about how awful they are (despsite claiming to have owned and used so many of them) on a pool forum as if that means anything. I get it that you have a different opinion and I can disagree with you about it and present my reasons why, backed up with actual facts without ever once getting personal Shawn as I did in this thread until you decided to make it personal.
