That's what Bryan(BCM) is doing. Once he finishes his current orders he will build and offer on his own schedule. Smart move by a great maker and nice guy.
I know his cues are top-notch in quality and playability.

Don't feel bad. I've been waiting over 12 years from when I ordered my cue in his shop. I gave him a deposit on the Cue of $850.00. I have since stopped playing pool and have been waiting for my deposit refund for over 2 years now. In January he emailed me and said It would be taken care by the end of the month. GUESS WHAT? Still waiting on the deposit refund form Mr. Searing.
Here's what happened:
Before I sent the cue to Dennis, I contacted him(April 22nd 2014) and ask for price quote for refinish and new shafts. He responded right away and quoted me the price and told me it will be done and shipped back to me within 2-3weeks once he received the cue. So I shipped the cue on 26th April 2014 and paid $1075 via bank wire transfer to his account too.
He received the cue on the 1st of May. And he sent me an email on May 14th saying he received the cue and will send me pics of the choice of wraps once the cue is refinished.
From that on, he never responded. I sent him an email around July to asked for cue progress, I got no replies from him. I sent another this year on January, still never heard from him yet.
Does anyone know what happened to him? Or can any of his friends here help me get hold of him please, cause I tried texting, emailing, nothing works.

This is really a terrible and horrible way to treat a customer.
Yeah, if he hasnt started the work then I'd rather he send my cue back and I'll have someone else do it.

My relationship w/D goes back to the 90's. I know he can be very frustrating to deal with, but, i've NEVER heard of him having any issues of moral turpitude.
There is no doubt that he is aware of this thread and your justified chagrin...hang in, you'll be made whole.
Wow, I've been tied up with work and issues at home for the last year or more so I haven't had much time to shoot pool or visit this board. I've known and called myself a friend to Dennis since the 90's. Hell I've spent countless days at his shop and watched him work hours and hours on others cues. I can tell you personally I've had a set of cues ordered for over 10 years and I'm still waiting. He's got a long list and I myself haven't come up yet but I'm closer.
He's always been nothing but a stand up guy in my eyes so I'm shocked to read this. His ocd for detail and perfection absolutely slows him down as do all the walk in quick repairs which are almost constant. I've no doubt that he'll do right by you even if it means refunding your payment. Personally I know he's had a couple health issues which he's recovering from in the last year or two and has had to take a lot of time off. None of us are getting any younger and well life and health sometimes gets in our way.
Again I'm sure he'll do all that he can to make right by you as much as possible.

Your response is perfectly reasonable and I have no doubt he'll do what he can to make right by you. I will tell you honestly he's been nothing but a stand up guy with all of us that know him.
One of my close friends had on order a year or so ahead of me and he got his bad ass cue last year. I'm hopeful that I'm coming up soon and it's been well over 10 years and he hasn't skipped anyone on that list trust me I've offered to bribe my way up.
As far as your work, I'm sure it will be perfect and hopefully you'll get it soon.
