I am going to be going to the DCC on Monday, but since I will not be playing (just watching), I wonder if it would be silly to bring my cue with.
I wonder if much buying, selling, trading goes on at DCC, and if so, where is the best place to do that sort of thing?
I have never been to the DCC before, and will be alone when I go, so I get the feeling that I will feel pretty lost there.
I am very shy, but would love to meet some of the players (probably will not have the confidence to though, lol).
Hoping to run into some players that I might know from the past, even though it has been over 15 years since I have been in the scene, but I imagine some of the players I knew in the past might be there.
Anyway, would maybe like to sell or trade my cue while I am there, but just not sure how I would go about trying to do that.
I do not want to try to trade with a dealer, because I do not think a dealer would offer me a fair trade if they would even be interested in what I have.
Anyways, I am excited about going for the 1st time and getting to see the pro's in person, but I know it will be kind if uncomfortable because I will be alone.
Hope I see some old friends while I am there, just not sure if it would be silly to bring my cue or not, since I will just be watching.
I am not sure if you have to be in the tournament to play on any of the tables , and what the costs are.
I only know how much it costs for the daily passes.
By the way, since I do not have a ride, I will be taking the Miller casino transit from Louisville at 9 am, and returning on that same bus at 3 pm to get back home (unless I run into anyone I know that will give me a ride back into Louisville later on after 3 pm).
Would love to stay later, but do not want to get stranded and have to take a taxi back into Louisville.
Thanks for any advice to a newcomer to the DCC.
