Mark Tadd vs Jose Parica

Thanks for posting! Haven't seen much of Tadd play, only heard he was a phenomenal player!

You guys are all very welcome. In the coming months I will be sharing more of my collection so be on the lookout.I have all 3 finals matches from the 93 LA Open.

Liakos,Tadd was a very strong player and still is.His game is not what it used to be though. The matches that I have uploaded of him are when he was in his absolute prime. He plays a lot slower now and doesn't have the confidence and flare that he used to.I am still a fan though and always will be.

I have watched that match a few times:)
I think Parica played Tadd smart, by safe breaking, to make the game slower and force Tadd to go for more aggressive shots.

Does anyone know during that time if the safe break for short rack banks was very common?

The DCC rules exclude the safe break on their bank pool. When it was allowed, was it a better break for short racks?

Tadd scratched like 47 times in that set.

He better be able to run some damn balls, playing that loosely.

Thanks for the vedio I love bank pool,on the table next to them look like a young Billy Incardino. Sorry if I miss spelled your last name Billy.

Man, it took Tadd a little while to get rolling, but when he had the balls wide open, he would run 4-5 and out like it was nothing. Thanks for posting, this was a pleasure to watch.

I just watched this match again for the first time in years. It's quite amazing what Tadd accomplished when you think about it.....

1.Playing Jose Parica and being down 3-0
2.In game 4 being down 4-2 in ball count and coming back to win the game
3.Have 2 break and runs
4.Win the match

Really just shows the strength of his game back then.

What? Mark won that match? I've had it on DVD for years, and always thought Parica won! lol. I don't think I've every watched it straight through, I kept dozing off or quitting to do something else.

Haha. I was thinking the same...
And took a nap ablut halfway thru too!
So, why isnt pool more popular with non-palayers?!hahaha

The first half of that match is terrible.Parica with that aweful safety break. But he knew he had a better chance with it because Tadd was the strongest wide open player in the tournament.
