kikel cues

hi.

can someone help?. I've had a post for a few days now looking to buy a 60" kikel cue.

however have had no responses as such.

does he not make them or are they that rare?

any help Appreciatedl.

I don't think he makes them regularly. Anyone you find is going to be one that was a special order. When I lived in Colorado Springs I knew a few who had 60+ in cues by him but they were all one-off customs. Even then (17 yrs ago) it was 12+ months from order/design to delivery.

They're out there. I had one. But Kikels are pretty rare in general, so it might take a little time for you to find one.

You could always try ordering one from him. He's still making cues, but he's old and full of grump these days (at least the last time I saw him).

Dave learned from Bill Stroud, and I've honestly never been able to tell the difference between their cues, so that might be another option.

I agree, if want a cue that plays like a JW, I would say a Kikel is as close as you can get.

Mine was 58" and it played incredible.

But like most cues I have owned, I sold it.

I have a buddy that called him and got a cue very quickly, but mine was exactly on time, so in my book that makes him a good and honest cuemaker.

I particularly liked his shaftwood and his taper. IMO, very similar to a JW.
