The world's first One-Pocket table !

" Probably not a joke...
Supposedly,
there is a table like this in Joplin Missouri-\been there for years

Still is. It's not a One Pocket table, though. The game that's played on it is call Corners.
It is very similar to One Pocket except the foot spot is at the head of the table.

Diamond Billiards Products has manufactured the world's first One-Pocket Table.

Are you saying it's the first, or is Diamond saying it's the first?

Freddie <~~~ knows it's not the first with only two corner pockets

I think it is an April Fools joke, but the OP didn't realize that the board has too many curmudgeons that would call him on the technicality.

Look on the bright side. Now there is a whole other strategy for you to ponder. You love pondering one pocket moves Crown.

Man does it change the game. I need 2 balls...one is hanging in the top corner. It would most likely get pocketed(by me) to bring it back into the game. Without a pocket I would play one of my chitie, sell out, stupid, badly controlled safes.

There was Pool Hall in Joplin Missouri that had two of them for years & years. They were Gold Crowns I believe.

I don't know what happened to them, when the Pool Room was destroyed by a Tornado in 2011

You couldn't get on the tables, the customers were stacked & ready to play.

Laugh all you want folks. Joplin,MO has these. OK Bar &Billiards has had two-pocket one-hole tables for years. BTW, this part of town was NOT hit by the tornado. Great old-school poolroom/bar.

It is what is now known as Fast Teddy's. Eight hundred block of S. Main St. And, they are still there.
They may have been manufactured by Brunswick, but they weren't GC's. I'm thinking they could be Schmidts. One table is in the front, as you walk in the door, and the other is near the back. The tornado missed by only a few blocks.

What was the Pool Room's name that used to be an old Safeway Store... that was where I saw the tables. I live in Oklahoma & was told that this room was taken by the Tornado.

You're right, there was a pool room in the old Safeway store, a few blocks south of where the tables are now. That place closed, however, and the old Safeway store was demolished. Not by the tornado, but by a bunch of Amish guys. :)

For those of you who may not remember, an EF-5 tornado struck Joplin, Missouri, five years ago this May. Many were killed, and many more were injured.
There was a generous outpouring of help in the form of contributions, and well wishes, from the AZB membership during that time.

Isn't Fast Teddy's a billiard supply store? Ok Bar & Billiards is at 1516 SMain. FT's is north of OK B&B. BTW, the two other spots that are closed is the GreenRoom which is across from the OK and J-Town which was down south, closer to I-44. J-Town became a Salv.Army store. I don't know if it got hit by tornado or not.

Yes, you're right. My mistake.
Here's the real poop, not the April Fool's Day poop.
Ok Bar and Billiards is the place on Main St. (Joplin) where the Corners table is. And, it is a Brunswick. A Brunswick Monarch. There is only one and it sits in the corner by the front door. The edge of the May, 2011 tornado was a half a block south and did not appreciably damage the Ok.
The pool room in the old Safeway store was gone seven, or eight years ago.
I was in the OK about four years ago but got confused as to the name. Probably the medication.
It would be interesting to know if this is the only remaining Corners (One Pocket) table
left in the world. :)

I guess that game is about dead. They used to have two of the 2-holers but i guess they needed room for something that makes money. Can't blame them. It is a cool joint, one of a rapidly dying breed. I live in Tulsa and always stop in when in the area. J-Town used to have pretty good action but just couldn't make it.

This is Photoshopped. Look at the balls. They're playing Ten Ball. The break was not a one pocket break.

I already said it's a fake, the only one pocket rails built so far are made with Rosewood dymondwood and they haven't left the factory as of yet, I know, I designed them at the same time I designed the 9ft Diamond straight rail billiards table several years ago.
