Didnt want to send it out to Keith and couldn't wait till I could drive out to Joe (Gold) so I thought I'd do a "hand job". No wise cracks..LOL....

Kamikaze soft brown with outside colored black....

That's the dome shape I like to play with......good job, sir.

Very well done. How long did it take to complete, start to finish? :)

P.S. You guys probably thought I was gonna say something smart-ass, didn't you?
Something like, "Where's your shop located, the bathroom?" Or, " Can you do that left handed, too?" Or maybe, "How many tips would a guy have to do before he'd have to start wearing glasses?"
Well, I didn't.

How much $$ did you save coloring the tip black vs. paying extra for a Kamui Black?

If you want, I can send you some clear acrylic pads and a Sharpie, so you can make your own black clear's, and save even more $$

Can you take a ferrule that might explode on an airplane?

:)

Good hand job, I've been doing these for decades. Although when I do a hand job, I omit the razor blade, but add a thick towel and a vise. Oh, God......

No, but I once mistook a light-up 2ball flying through the air for a shooting star.
It's no shit
Ask measureman, he should remember because we were outside on the back patio at
Hank's sipping dollar water, and trying to carry on an adult conversation when it happened.

Well, I remember thinking it fell out of a distressed Taiwanese cargo plane at 20,000 ft.
just before attempting an emergency landing at DIA.
Bruce disagreed, I could of been wrong, but Phil The Fin agreed with me.

I did this earlier in the week, and I must say, it looks a lot better that what I produced. Good work!

You guys are a hoot.. Even Hoot himself...lol...I know i know... I walked right into that one

Not bad at all.
Back in the day, when I was a professional tip installer, I could remove an old tip and put on a new Le Pro in 5 to 6 minutes, finished. (On a lathe, of course.)
I got ten bucks for the job. The tip cost me fifty cents.

Been coloring the outside of my tips with sharpie for eons... Dont like clear pads under my tips. They freak me out.

I would have used a black Kamui if you'd have sent me some before I bought 10 Kamikaze's.. Read my mind next time would ya.

You're slackin' Ted.....
