Why So Few GOOD PPV & Free streams

IMO the reasons that we don't see as many good PPV and free streams are many. The streaming fad got old. Too many people got poor quality streams. Tournaments are too drawn out. Not many have the time and also the money for 3 to 7 days. Same old tired production by streamers, week after week. The French job and the players that rallied around him has done a lot of damage for PPV. Another big reason is that a lot of the AZB crowd has gone to FB. A few years ago you posted a tournament or action match on AZB and you reached just about everyone that would be interested...now not so much. Johnnyt

4 Pocket this weekend.
Ginky end of the month.
And....Alvin was back the other day with Inside Pool!
All is not lost.

For me, the image/sound quality and the level of professionalism in the commentary don't justify the price for a lot of the events.

The last couple of streams I've paid for, the sound would cut in and out or the image would freeze and I'd have to login again.

Also, it's obvious that the commentators get bored with talking for so many matches that they go into some really stupid topics of conversation that have nothing to do with the match.

To ask people to pay in the neighbourhood of $30 to $40 for that is ridiculous in some cases. That price point is approaching the cost of a UFC fight which is light years ahead in production value.

It's getting to where I'll only buy from streams that put up a professional stream. Just one example, I think the US open 9 ball by Acu Stats was a great feed and well worth the money.

So, maybe there are a lot of people who are tired of the high cost/ low value, and the streaming numbers are down? Maybe it's not as lucrative lately for streamers, so they don't do as many?

great quality...multiple tables...awesome streaming for free typically.

these guys typically do all the florida pool tour events (there will be a super 32 10 ball event coming up with some REALLY big name players in the field.). check them out if you're tired of the quality you get from some of the streamers out there.

I used to buy all the streams. For the most part I was usually pretty satisfied with the quality....Especially TAR -Big Truck and Upstate Al...........However since that farce of a match between Orcollo and Big Ko I haven't bought a stream since.

What irritated me the most was how Upstate Al force fed us that nightmare known as John French. Constantly telling us what a great guy and pool promoter he was. Meanwhile completely ripping us off for the stream fee in that rigged match with DO/Big Ko.

I guess the only silver lining was John French was exposed for his deceit and foulplay. Unfortunately for Upstate Al....he was also exposed as a co-conspirator.

I really doubt after that debacle that anything in American pool is on the up and up.

I haven't watched any pool online since the French garbage, either free or ppv. I think I'm over watching it. From the matches being made up BS, to the production generally being poor. I know its a labor of love for the streamers to do it, but it just doesn't hold my attention anymore.

I'll probably only pay for something again if Efren is in it playing one pocket.

I saw some of their stream this weekend, fantastic view & clarity. The other streamers should strive to reach that level. I did watch the US Open with accustats, it was also great.

Yeah, I watched the free match they had with Johnny Archer and Rodney Morris a few months ago....it was great.

To gain my confidence from a stream I'm unfamiliar with, they'd have to show me a sample of the quality before I pay anything over the $10 range for a multiple day tournament.

i usually keep a subscription to the poolaction stuff too simply because they seem to have most of the good one pocket stuff and that's what i prefer to watch.
overall, though, i truly don't think anyone can hang with the product that xpc puts out. if you haven't seen the field for that 10 ball event they have coming up in jacksonville, fl, you're not gonna wanna miss that one. dennis orcollo, warren kiamco, mike davis, thorsten, and the florida pool tour regulars. should be a great one.
