Rauenzahn USA red white and blue theme cue

USA THEME with RED, WHITE, and BLUE veneers decorating the points of perfection only Gus and Burtain could consistantly produce.

Chris Tate has mentioned the infamous 75 Palmer blanks made by Gus Szamboti to celebrate our nation's 200'th birthday, and nobody has seen one of the cues except Tate (pics are listed thru AZ and Palmercollector.com).

These veneers are a series of -R- USA colors to glorify our soldiers and nation for the valor they allow us to celebrate in THEIR HONOR...


-R- has developed skills, knowledge, and mastery to satisfy my needs, I hope they quench your thirsts...

Veneer glue lines??? Pretty much non-existent. It almost looks like recut veneers. HOLY BATMAN

Oh they're around. Dick Abbott has one for sale and another was sold here on AZ about two years ago.

curly koa and desert ironwood Rauenzahn

I wish my pics would show the 3-D Curly Koa effect like it appears holding this cue in your hands. I am AMAZED with the crispness of the hit I feel with this SS half joint. I love it!!

The shafts have over 20+ rings on the joint end and weigh about 4.0 oz. and 3.9 oz each, both have ivory ferrules and are 13.0 mm. The Hoppe ring is also ivory. Butt weighs 15.5 oz. Cue weighs 19.4 or 19.5 oz.

The points are simply gorgeous set off by a very bright teal blue veneer set. Check out the matching stitch ringwork in the joint collars. Nice touch Mr. Jerry -R-! I LOVE the Desert Ironwood in the points and butt sleeve which are a dark golden shade with black and brown streaking.

This is a MR. JERRY RAUENZAHN -R- custom order to replace another one I had built that a fellow AZer wanted.

Rauenzahn cue started in 1985, new to me!!!

Here is a cue Mr. Jerry Rauenzahn started in 1985. This masterpiece was recently finished after the original owner no longer was able to complete the transaction. His loss, my gain. Notice ringwork at all points, A, B, C, D, and E. Cue weighs 19 oz and is extremely well balanced. Talk about old school hit, WOW!!!

dvs....me too.......this is turning out better than I had hoped.........look at these cues Jerry's made and JKM's collection is amazing.
Kaiserman's Mosconi Tribute just sizzles my steak........this is not a good thing........I am getting hungry for another Jerry R. cue.
Alas, I cannot order a cue and with the ivory ban around the corner, looks like I need to attend a Las Vegas cue show in the future.

Jerry and I called this one our Tribute To Frank Paradise. Primarily white joint collars with black accent rings, Titlist point colors, and a simple buttplate with a couple rings, no bumper. Frank did not do bumpers. Enjoy.

pre-post Paradise cue from the 60's by Rauenzahn

This cue was owned and played with by Pete Margo and has signed paperwork from Margo to verify its prominence. The cue is a 1965-66 Titlist refinished by Jerry Rauenzahn. Jerry also matched a Predator partial shaft for it so I can use it as my daily player. It hits Balls out!! Rock solid.

Think of the great design you can make using that special Gaboon ebony for points against a nice maple forearm & your creative approach & colors......or maybe a perfect specimen
of what a classic, timeless design should look like. There is an elegance to the design of these cues that I find fetching. Whether it's the color scheme, the rings, the overall sleeve,
the balance of being decorative but not ornate or gawdy......just simplicity and beauty with a extra measure of creativity thrown in for a couple of these gems.

This thread is about Jerry's cue-making but I hope you'll view this as a gauntlet of sorts. If this ivory ban ever gets worked out, I'd like to turn Leon loose and have him build me a cue
that I know would rock.. However, until then, maybe I can serve as the catalyst to get Mr. Sly thinking about what he'd come up with. Frankly, the Bushka theme has been done countless
times and the irony is I never tire of it.......great Bushka designs are like Sinatra's greatest hits........you never tire of hearing them or for that matter, seeing a beautiful Bushka design pool cue.

I hope all the readers of this thread enjoy seeing a fabulous array of Jerry R. cues and this thread also becomes a burr under Leon's saddle. I'm trying to imagine what he'd come up with
that I am confident would be pretty stupendous & so naturally, I'm already wishing it was for me but that's not feasible and besides, Leon is likely up to his neck with other stuff to get done.

Full splice 8 points high and low, Ebony into Tulipwood with veneers on all 16 points . This is only the second one Jerry has made like this and the only one with a wedge. Solid ivory joint with that sweet Rauenzahn hit.
