DigiCue (stroke enlightenment) by OB Cues

I have no first-hand experience, but I do know that there are many new electronic devices that are used in cycling to measure many things that were never measurable before. .
a fine idea, to me.

Edit - just read the writeup and I must say that I am a little disappointed to find that it does not hook up to a PC.

What did you think?

I think it's the best thing since low squirt shafts were introduced.

Every instructor should have one or fifty.

The engineering is sound. Packaging (electronically speaking) could get optimized, but it's really pretty good today.

Black-Balled,

Thanks for the feedback.

We wanted the DigiCue to be a self contained device that was easy to use, that worked and was $100 or less. If we had developed a version that connected to a PC or an app it would have been twice as expensive. The DigiCue in it's current form will force you to bare down on every shot and help you develop stronger fundamentals by reminding you to stay down on every shot and follow through straight on every shot.

Price point is hugely relevant, isn't it?
I don't work in a business environment that has to sell anything, so I failed to consider the goal of actually selling in (d'oh).

Looks like we're still 10+ weeks out on these being available for sale. I'm very intrigued and would really like to try one. I think the price is just right. If it can actually help my game and my practice sessions then $100 is a bargain.

Hey Shane - I know there are some prototype/demo ones floating around, how about a forum pass around ahead of launch for some established forum users. We've done similar things in some knife and golf forums I belong to. Basically send a sample out to someone, they get to use it for a few days then they ship it to the next person on the list. Everyone who participates comes back to the pass around thread to offer their input and how it worked for them.

(always been surprised I've never seen any pass arounds done here...they're fun and a great way to get some buzz going on a new product)

I ordered one few weeks ago not sure when it will come in but can't wait to try it out.

I would be open to doing this. Who wants to set it up and be in charge of getting it going, managing the list, laying down the rules (how long you get to keep it, how many people are in the pass around etc)? I do not have time to do it but I am prepared to put an AZB DigiCue pass around prototype in play.

Awesome! I'm happy to manage it, having done similar things before elsewhere. If you're cool with that let me know.

Will send you a PM.

I already received a PM from slide13. Anybody have any objections to him managing the pass around?

i have no objections and would like a try of it even tho i already preordered it

Looks like the only training "aide" I would ever consider using.

Should be worth millions in terms of feedback to new players!

Tried it several times at the BCA tournament 2 weeks ago. Didn't use on the beginner setting, but did on the intermediate and advanced settings. IT WORKS!! You get a very subtle pulse of vibrations shortly after you complete the shot if you execute a poor stroke. If you execute a good stroke, then you feel nothing. Depending on your level of play, I suspect most will be on the intermediate or advanced setting most of the time, and there is a difference. About the only time I was getting it to vibrate, even on the advanced setting was on power stroke shots. However, I was able to execute a few without the vibration, telling me that I was capable of executing a powerful and firm stroke and still be straight, level, and smooth, just not all of the time. I took advantage of the show special they were running and look forward to getting mine in November. It will be used all of the time.

Lastly, I will say I was shocked at the price. I automatically assumed that it was going to be in the $150-$250 price range and felt it was a steal at the current price. Assuming durability holds up on this device, it will definitely pay it's dividends on the investment.

Hello Shane:

Sent you a PM a short while ago.

If you take up Slide with his recommendation, please count me in.

I'd try it a couple days and ship it to the next person.

Slide is the ONE

Please add me to your list

Okay, Slide will manage this. I will PM him back in a moment. Please hold off on PM'ing me for now and Slide will get a list started with rules and will post in this thread for all to see.

Glad you got a chance to try it and liked it and ordered it!
