Reason Why Its Hard To Watch Pool Sometimes...

I'm getting a kick out of these.
Keep them coming.

Haha.

So much drama and intensity in such trivial things to the casual sports fan.
During the Olympics, I watched a girl from China hand argue an equipment failure during a badminton match.

I thought it was the badminton equivalent of how and when to remove a racking template.

Agreed..It seems like some of the best players, are the ones who stall and 'air stroke' the most!..Alex P. is, without a doubt, the worst offender of slow play..(and also of really slow racking :embarrassed2:)

True Observation.
By and large , the fast players make more errors on safety shots or tough shots or shots that require judgement. Seen that happen with players like Rodney, Shaw and quite often with Drago
The exception is Ronnie O in snooker :)

Ko does this a lot as well. Simple solution: Shot clock. No jump-cue Tourneys would be nice too.

"I jump full tables with a Meucci! How about that? Full tables!" -Joe Strickland

They need a shot clock to start before and after the racking.
Watching isn't a chore compared to listening to the commentary. If it isn't Billy in the booth, you might as well mute it. They either know nothing about pool or they're nut-hugging one of the players. Jay is the worst offender. Alvin runs second and of course there's many commentators that don't know the score at the end of the first rack. They come complete with a 6th grade vocabulary and struggle using a debit card at the ATM because it requires the 4 digit code that's a little difficult for them to get on the first try.

24 second shot clock with one 12 second extension.

I want to see a player dog it, just like a crash in NASCAR, fumble in football, etc. that's exciting! Watching slow player run rack after rack after rack is boring.

Ronnie O's judgement, position play, and speed of play is uncanny, as is his accuracy!..He is
usually shooting the second the referee has spotted the ball!..How about his 147, in just over
5 minutes?..He is a machine!

That was funny. Thanks for the link.

Biado's comment is in Filipino but it was something like, "Please let go of the shot. A lot of people are waiting." :grin-square:

Alcano played really good shots in this match. Check out 20:15. It's funny, De Luna always teases him. :D
