Every pool player is looking for an edge, something preferably without any side effects. While very little is known about the side effects of moderate use of the following products, it is a given that abuse of practically anything will provide you with some unwanted side effects.

You've got pool players going to the gym.

You've got pool players taking yoga and meditating.

You've got pool players eating certain types of foods.

You've got Cheqio that pool players are currently using.

You've got Red Bull and a plethora of other energy type drinks to fight off the "drowsies".

You've got drinks like Just Chill designed to calm you down (Theanine).

You've got Focus Factor and other "mental" supplements designed to help you focus.

NOW comes Doppel, one of the many wearables to come in the near future; this one, designed to make you more alert and have better focus all without any side effects.? Where do you sign up to Pre-Order? Well, by clicking right here.

Let me know how you do. November is just around the corner. And if any of my European pals have already tried it, please give us a report.

The developers have focused their research on alertness and focus but promise to provide additional research on how Doppel might affect those with anxiety issues.

For now just know that the AMA (American Medical Association) claims that the wearables are just the next line of snake oil products.

What else you got (besides pharmaceuticals)?

Mestinon and Imuran, by prescription, keeps me from seeing double. Bending over the table and seeing two object balls is very disconcerting.
If there were three object balls, however, then the solution would be simple. I would employ The Three Stooges method of shooting and hit the one in the middle.

Personally, I don't like products that have to be ingested..
...that's the slippery slope that the drug companies and cartels want you to slide on.

My gambling operates on natural adrenalin....if I got too complacent in a long session
then the price had to be raised...the fear of going broke gave me energy.

HOWEVER.....I'm working on a new product called DOPPLEGANGER....
...it's a clone of you that has a break like Shane, parks whitey like Alex, and has the
imagination of Efren.
If you get into action you can't handle, just go to the washroom and send out your
DOPPLEGANGER....

Have a few snags to iron out, product should be market ready by the, uh, end of this century.

If those Europeans show up at the Mosconi Cup with one on their wrists.....................................................

I would like to hear more about Cheqio. I'm very interested in giving it a try.

They have tablets and drinks. Tried the tablets, can't really be sure about any benefit. Tried Just Chill drink this past weekend and went two and out.

Eat easily digestible, healthy meals in moderation. Low carbs, low dairy, just fish, chicken and of course some red meat, but not before a game. I'm on a low calorie diet (nothing extreme), trying to lose some weight, slowly but steadily. It helps my concentration immensely! Who knew that chicken salads etc. would help my pool game this much? I wish I had tried this years ago.

Truth be told, it's not even about the weight loss anymore (I'm not that fat now). I feel like a million dollars and my concentration is at the highest level it's been in a long, long time. If nothing else I'm going to keep this up for my pool game. If you have a little bit of a spare tire going, I suggest you try this, especially if you have trouble concentrating. Sure you'll feel a little bit hungry, but wait until you see how alert you are when playing..Heavy food dulls the senses, at least for me. If you are playing long sessions, remember to bring a healthy, light snack to keep your energy up, but nothing heavy or sweet! Steady bloodsugar gives you a steady arm.

As a species, we are not made for gluttony. Eating less will add YEARS to your life! Recent studies have shown this. Not only will you live longer, but you won't age as quickly, either.

My favorite post in this thread.
It's your lifestyle that prepares you for a pool match....
..you can try to amp it up all you want...
...but you're gonna dance with the one you came with.

Interval training, breathing exercises and Yoga.....also constantly taking the test to be my best is what helps keep me calm.
