Hello everyone -

I'm after the latest updated forum member experiences and suggestions for the best places to play pool in the Phoenix / Mesa area when in town to visit my son.... not "sports bars" with tables, until we can get the right table set up in his home.

Searches within the forum pull up all kinds of hijacked threads and discussions and most are older - I'm after the latest 2016 updates -

While I'm at it, how about recommendations for:

1) a great local, experienced INSTRUCTOR that would love to work with a young man starting in the cue sports, mid-20's, professional, respectful and over-all pleasant to be around.

2) a used POOL TABLE restoration shop offering GCs rebuilt and that play flawlessly that any of us would be proud to have set up in our own homes - Delivery and setup as well by the same place/owner.

Thank you all in advance for your help and suggestions - much appreciated!

K.

That Instructor would be none other than the World famous Jerry Briesath.

He lives right outside of Phoenix.

Thanks Randy - I'll def put Jerry on my list to contact. Do you know off-hand if he indeed works with relative "newbies" of the younger gen to get them started off expertly? Always appreciate your input

Is Scott Frost's new place open yet? Would be nice to see it while you're there.

I think Mitch Ellerman gives lessons, If he does, he's a very nice young man and very knowledgeable player.

Scott told me they just started construction this past Monday.

How old is this young student? Has he been playing a long time.

There was a thread a while back about a new place opening on Mill Ave. near Tempe High. Is that Scott Frosts?
