Ebay Feedback

Well, it finally happened. I got "red" from an Ebay buyer after 518 perfect transactions covering the last 2 years.

I mean, I have a MONEY BACK guarantee, so not sure why anyone could "rep' me. If you don't like the chalk, you get your money back and the shipping costs, no questions asked. But you have to tell me ????

This guy puts this down as his feedback:

Negative feedback rating i wish i knew i wouldve got only 2 chalks, i wouldnt have bought it if i knew
Magic Chalk - Made in RUSSIA - "Best Chalk of the World" (#271986176645)

I mean, really, the ad says in BIG BOLD letters it's 2 cubes per box. Heck, there is a picture of a box of chalk in the ad. What more can you do. And really, because it was not 3 cubes, you would have walked away ???

After 2 years, it was bound to happen sooner or later, but man, I thought it would because of USPS, not how many cubes someone would assume were in a box ?

But, 1 out of over 500 ain't bad, but still steams me none-the-less

He's taking potential customers of yours because he doesn't bother to read the description. That's not fair at all. There should be a system in place on ebay where negative ratings like these get deleted.

You can dispute feedback. I believe it is in the "resolving issues" tab, not 100% sure though. You may even get in contact with their customer service and dispute it through them.

If the reason he left negative feedback was clearly covered in your item description, that is grounds for a dispute.

Believe you would still have 100% positive feedback, as 517/518 = 99.9%, which rounds off to 100%.

Even if not, it soon will be. But I understand your beef. A good product, well described, with a money back guarantee should not get a red.

All the best,
WW

Call ebay and dispute it. With the amount of transactions you have and your record, they don't want to ticked off.

Dispute it for sure. If it was stated in the description and obvious from your pictures, eBay will take care of it. I've had to do this before

Definitely dispute it. Just for the record his reasoning is absolutely ridiculous. I commend you for wanting a perfect status.

Crap. I tried to give you a red rep here, just to get your mind off it...but I hit go too soon an it went green, or you would have had a matching set.

You got away with one, there.

Hope you feel better.

Call ebay and ask for the lie to be removed. You clearly show and state the number of pieces for each auction and his feedback is not accurate. Call now, don't hesitate.

You can fix it.

Its been awhile since Ive sold on ebay but if I remember right, you can pm the guy and offer to fix it for him. Sure its going to cost you a couple more cubes of chalk or something but hell be happy and he can go edit and you get to keep your perfect rating. Tell him to fix the rating and he will get free chalk. He'll do it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. . I put in a dispute with Ebay.

Though someone said that a person can take "back" the feedback if you make it right with them.... yeah, it's worth sending a free box or something, but I was not aware, nor did I see anything that allows them to do that... sometimes that can add something, but the red stays there ??

Its been awhile but I think you can get rid of the red as well. I think I had a guy that did something similar and we made it right and all was good. Like I said its been a long time ago but when you have as good a rep as you do, you should just try it to see it works if it means that much to you as it sounds like it does.
