I'm gonna say it's a helmsteter

I think you're in the neighborhood....
...I had a Mizerak signed cue with those collars...it was quality...
...some kind of collusion with Kao out of Taiwan...
...and I think some were Helmstetter/Adam origin.

...there's a thread on these...if somebody can remember it.

I was gonna say same thing...I've seen bushka style cues like this with thoes collars
From a Mizerak line..also the shape of the slots in the diamonds are "Adamsish" for a lack of a better word

that butt ring looks like it was added later. maybe the cue was warped or broken at some point and it looks cheezy. if so the bumper could be anybody's one and not original..

I think you mean something like the HOF cues.

But I don't think this is one of those.

It has similarities. This joint rings are similar to some Kao, but not the same.

And the pilot seems wrong.

Some of the Mizerak signature cues had similar joint rings, but not the same.

Right now, I am thinking somebody made this. As in domestic cue maker. But it does have a lot of elements of the Asian "tribute cues".

I would love to know what is under that bumper. And that butt cap look to be delrin.

Looking at these pics I don't think it's an import or Adam. Def a custom
Possibly old joss

I play with a '68 Joss....here's a pic I lifted from google...
...notice the collar doesn't match with the OP's.

I'm going to search for a thread when I get home...the ThinkPad is easier...
....bring up that old thread where the collars match.

Looks most like an early Scruggs, given the wrap, the spacing between the points at the wrap, the joint collars, the delrin butt plate and the bumper. I don't think Helmstetter / Adam, as I don't recall any with delrin butt plates, and most of theirs had 5/16 X 18 joint pins. The only question would be if a Scruggs, why is the TS not on the butt plate, as he put those on pretty much right away. Still some doubt.

All the best,
WW

Maybe the difference in the mop diamond slots from forearm to sleeve will help someone figure it out....
