Chinese 8ball leagues in USA

Does American pool need major Chinese 8 ball events to maintain its competitive edge?

With China pouring money into a new discipline will the world keep up?

Sidenote: Calling it Chinese 8 ball makes the title misleading, winning the 8ball title in China feels intentionally ambiguous.

WPA failure to intervene or intentional negligence to inflate China event titles?

Hell, we can't win on a gaffy Rasson table. What chances do U.S. players have on those BRUTAL C8ball tables? I love watching it 'cause it is a torture test for sure. Maybe a C8b tourney at DerbyCity? They play everything else there.

I dont understand the purpose of Chinese 8 ball. You cant even make a rail shot. Its just a more defensive version of 8 ball. You might as well as play that boring game called 1 pocket.

Buy American, play 14.1, play nine ball, play ten ball, one pocket and banks. Eat hamburgers and fried chicken.....Merry Xmas.

Having watched it I have not seen a lot of defense from the top guys, you play the 10 best and you better be ready to run out or they will run over you.

People always said 8-ball was too easy for the pros, well Chinese 8-ball is not, it challenges the best and nothing is a given.

8-ball was never the problem, the tables were. I said years ago on here 8-ball needed to be the game and that we needed tight pockets to make it work. Noone in the USA did anything and the Chinese took the initiative and now here we are.

To be correct, they started playing 8 ball on snooker tables, because that's what was available, then decreased the table size to make it more economical and easier. They didn't create C8B tables because they thought pool pockets were too easy.

Really? I don't know which matches you been watching, but the top players run out. It's like a snooker table but smaller. So what if the pockets are tight? This means you better be extremely accurate or you gonna get your ass handed to you.

I don't see it as anything different from 9 or 10 ball in which safeties are played all the time, constantly. I do see it as a game that requires much better position play and a ton more accuracy than is needed on a regular pool table.
