Stan's Curious Curtain Video

Forgot to mention how you have no other videos that show that hole reinforcer on the table, and you do have one video showing the other reinforcers in the triangle a couple of months prior, yet the reinforcer in question, the one you use every day, is not there. If you used that spot every day enough to darken the reinforcer for diagonal shots, you'd also have track marks in the cloth. Just sayin'.

LMAO Stan has more than one table. Also there are two ends to a table in which in that video you only see one. NICE TRY

You say the pockets have been in the same place for over 100 years but they may not be so easy to find when you can't actually see the pocket.

Well actually, that was the situation when Ray Martin (yes, that Ray Martin) made the comment Dan alluded to. I was taking a lesson from him at his home in Florida when all the lights in his house went out. Right before there’d been a distant “pop” and Ray said, “A transformer has gone out.” The whole neighborhood was without power.

We debated as to what to do and I opted to press on with the lesson with just the light from a sliding glass door and one other window in the room.

The only time I had trouble was when shooting directly towards the left side of the table with the sliding doors providing a strong backlight that made it difficult to see the rail on that side of the table. I got up off one shot and said to Ray, “It’s tough to see the side pocket,“ and that's when Ray famously cracked, “It hasn’t moved -- it’s in the same spot it’s been for the last 100 years.”

The point being, of course, that pool players know where the pockets are even when they can't see them.

This is easily done if you know anything about the table. The fractional system can be attached to the pocket or close to. What would be harder is roll both balls and and let them come to a stop. Nothing in a straight line at the curtain. Also nothing close to the side rail.

I've said in the past anyone wants gamble on their curtain skills, come get my money.

The truth will set you free.

I just tried it on a 7' table. First attempt was half a diamond off to the left.

I'm beginning to understand the problem here.

The rest of that post was bs. How about you or cookie man produce a curtain shot? It should be a piece of cake on a 7' table and with your knowledge of CTE.

Gee, you don't say? No kidding. So Stan keeps a reinforcer on the table so that he can practice straight in's practically every day in his words, yet on the dozens of videos he's produced that reinforcer, which he uses practically every day and has turned brown because of it, is nowhere to be seen on any video other than the one where the blue chalk marks are also on the table.

In reality he could have done most of his videos on a different table( he has two), but just happened to shoot this particular video on this table.

Hardest part is my limited knowledge of actually doing videos and posting them. Shooting them with cte is fairly easy, but human error will mean missed shots.
Stan`s video was for informational purposes only, but you want to critique it like a huge bet was riding on it. This whole thread really has no actual purpose.

Doesn't surprise me a bit that you say that it is bs. Just goes to show that you aren't open to any explanations, but only here to discredit whatever you think you can.

I'm open to reality, Neil. You ever see those commercials where they are selling something like a newfangled can opener and they show the person "before" and "after"? In the before video the customer practically kills herself trying to pry open the can while it flies across the room and through the window. Or, those non-stick pans where the lady is making eggs and it looks like they've been fossilized onto the old pan at 900 degrees, until she buys the new pan that works perfectly.

This video has that feel to me. Gee, golly, I just can't seem to figure out where that darn corner pocket is, but no matter, CTE to the rescue! Presto! Whammo! We don't need no stinkin' pockets! CTE finds them for us. But wait! You can double your success rate with the new updated CTE!

So I respond better to reality, not some mind-bending doublespeak that ignores the obvious.

I shoot blind all the time while I'm practicing my method. It's a good way to get the center of the CB fixed after the pivot and it helps me imagine the line through the CB. It's actually pretty easy to make 15 and 30 visuals down the table into the corner. I was doing it last night and I usually make 8-9 out of 10 while practicing blind using my ball cap to hide the OB and pocket. If I can do that after a few months of dinking around with a pivoting system, I have no doubt that Stan can drill them in from all points on the table. It's not magic, it's math.

Hole reinforcers? We don't need no stinkin' hole reinforcers.

You say you are open, then list the biases you have that show you aren't. You actually missed the obvious a long time ago.

We're just going around in circles now. I made my observations, which I think are quite obvious to anybody who has played a lot of pool AND is relatively objective, and independent, observer.

Funny.

Stan has had the same offer for a long time and I don't recall you taking him up on it

Step up basement boy

He shouldn't have a problem traveling with a system thats so magical.

Just a thought for you guys.
Don't you think a lot of people would be on Stans side if what he's saying could be seen by most. (Not the system but the claims) WE JUST DON'T GET IT RIGHT?? wrong.:)
Its not like we started out against him, well, at least not me.:)
Pro1 problems aren't do to its instructions but rather what Stan attached to it.
He's done everything to spice it up for us, but what he's really done is caused his own problems.
Some of you been going at pro1 for how long?? year's and still are having troubles.
Why aren't you guys posting video's of your pro1 skills? Seriously.
I'll tell you why, the ones that have made it work were already good at the game and the other ones like you belvabuddy are only good at one thing, running your mouth.
Its alright with me you talk your shit, I expected it from guys like you.

I don't use any marketable aiming system. I also don't have a problem with them, or people that choose to use them regardless of whatever claims may be made.

Of course, that's because I'm a grown man and not a child.

I don't understand the thread title.

Is it implying that there is a video where in Stan is curious about a curtain, or a video where there is something curious about a curtain.

I kind of like the last one. A curious curtain. Oooo...spooky.

You sound like English now. Remember his obsession with "the lurkers".
Your observations have been explained and discredited very nicely.

Plenty of people are on Stan's side. Most stay off of AZ because of the petty bullshit on here..The ones who are against it on here have never actually learned the system, which begs the question, Why do they even care if we use it or not.
