Old Diamond Pro cushion replacement question

I have an old professional and it has fleetwood rubber on it. I plan to replace it and extend the sub rails myself. What would be the replacement cushion of choice to use without having to recut angles on subrails? I think I prefer the red label style of play since most of the tables in the surrounding area are reds and I do not stray from here very often.

If you're not going to fix the rail design, then install the championship tour edition K55 cushions.

Thanks RKC - is that worth doing in you opinion vs the fleetwood if I decide not to extend the subrails. I am a well above average woodworker with a shop full of nice tools like a big sawstop industrial tablesaw - Festool track saw and many others. The thought of trying to alter the rails has crossed my mind many times but it is just like anything , no matter what you may be capable of the first time doing something you usually screw something up especially when you do not have jigs and thing set up and do not know the proper angles . I also would have no problem paying someone to do the work but problem is there is never anyone any this area and I hate to pay to ship them. The only reason that I am even fooling with this now is that I am in LA and we took 4' water in the flood. I am having to replace the slate backer - cloth and build a new set of legs for the table. Figured if I am doing all of that I would play with the rails because they are very slow compared to what I play on at the pool room.

You might want to call Diamond.
Who knows they might just tell you to install an Artemis upside down?

I did.
Apparently, in the early days that was done to some tables when the Superspeed got hard.

And just for your information, turning Superspeed upside down...puts the nose height an 1/8th" higher, up to 1 9/16ths...now, how does that make a pool table play better?

Who said anything about turning Superspeed upside down?

Why don't you make that call to Diamond yourself, so it'll at least appear like you know something when you answer someone.

You did Joey!

You did Joey!

Go read again. You need to follow the thread.
I know your memory is kinda shot.
Following a thread is kinda getting tough too?

Diamond tables had Superspeed one time.
Then they got hard.
Then they were replaced with upside down Artemis to get the right height.
As told to me by Greg.

Maybe you should have had your trainees install my Artemis upside down too.
That and with 141* corners. Not spitting 143*.

Funny thing Joey, I was working at Diamond when they made the decision to switch the cushions on the 9fts to the Artemis cushions....but Diamond wasn't using Superspeed cushions pryor to the change....that I can assure you!

I'd rather you keep complaining, that's way more important to you than fixing your rails.....as I've already told you in the past, I'm done with you.

Like you had plans in fixing it.
Pfft!
The only plan you had was to use them as guinea pigs for your trainees.
Neither one knew when to use a protractor.
And you were asleep, I guess.
You three did a crappy job.
You were probably just hoping I'd never notice the difference when the cloth started getting old.

Hell, my table should be a study for you and your trainees.
And a nice lesson.

There's only one good mechanic here now and he's booked up from all the fkk'd up jobs all over.
I'm on his waiting list.

Well good for you, I'm sure you'll let all of us know how that turns out. But....I thought you were a Mark Gregory nut hugger....you tell everyone else to send their rails to him....why not YOU?

You should have told me that before you had someone pick up my rails.

I'm not responsible for the work that others might do. Even teaching someone how to work on rails, ultimately the work they do still kills back on them to perform the work as taught, not me unless they are in my employment.

Err, I hired you. You hired them.
You want me to start a new thread about the whole thing?
You don't get a pass Glen.
You told me to wait for you to get in town.
You got in town and you were going to fix the rails.
You had them picked up.
What you did was fraud.
You basically just admitted fault.
I can enumerate the whole thing again if you want.

Now you're just being stupid, but go a head, do whatever you want.

All this is....is another thread you've hijacked for your own personal agenda.
