I know for a fact that pookie is working a 60 hr a week job and has not played serious pool in years. For the record, Dennis and I have played many times for dinner and such at my house and he gives me 9-6 and the break. He usually wins but I probably win one out of four games, if I can lay down a good break and beat him to the first shot. Pookie probably plays better than me. That's how we arrived at 10-6. Maybe 10-6, 11-6 on Dennis' break is a better game. 12-6 is a huge spot against a good player. I'd rather have that game than 9-6 and the break. It's hard to get 12 with all the balls down table and that's the strategy I'd use.
Efren in his prime tried to give a 70 year old Little Al 11-5 and didn't do so well. Too much weight for even the greatest to overcome. He also tried to give Las Vegas Toby 9-6 and got roasted. Big spots are fine against mediocre players. If this guy Daniel can play at all then 20-3 will work against Dennis. Even the strongest horse can get bogged down with too much weight.
Meanwhile, Dennis plays full time and is in dead punch!
You play consistently and stay in game shape during retirement. Pookie is working and it is not a fair comparison. Just my humble opinion.
