It makes sense I think that he might play one pocket specifically better on diamonds. Sure, the bigger pockets are gonna help him on a brunswick, but in this particular game it's often ok (sometimes advantageous) to hang the ball up. Meanwhile, after decades of playing on diamonds in pro events, he knows EXACTLY how the rails play. He made damn near every bank he tried, including some full table ones that most players just hope to get within half a diamond.
I think the record for dennis vs. illir with this same spot is something like...
dennis has won 2 or 3 sets, illir 1? I could be wrong.
Dennis is definitely up, the game might be fair once illir is warmed up and shooting confidently.
He won a set against another guy giving up 15-3, and got hill-hill at 18-3.
He did end up down overall against the guy.
He was visibly peeved when he lost the 18-3 set even though it's a ridiculous proposition.
I dunno if he enjoys giving up huge weight or he's just doing what's necessary to get
the bet into quadruple digits.

This is just one more thing, if true, backs my contention that Dennis may be a nice guy -- but he is naive and a bit goofy.

I know for a fact at Derby one of the biggest events on the planet that he was using his tiger cue!
With way more at stake and much tougher competition then northern Virginia. His use of the tiger pool cue speaks volumes about his confidence in the product!!!

Contractual issues are (damn well SHOULD BE) far more into the matter than a spectator is, so I don't feel there is any obligation due re:the subject from a third party. It is the involved parties that hold 100% care duty to the matter agreed upon.

You and I witnessed the matches in person. Viewed the cues used. But, did not run on here to post about it!

Many logical explanations exist !

All I know is, he just did great at Derby with his Tiger. There is a new video on YOUTUBE of him running 200 balls or so at Derby with his Tiger. TIGER is getting their money's worth.
If on his own time, in a non-pro event he wants to shoot with something else, or just try something different...who cares? And like you said - it could very well be a Tiger prototype.
