table question for the mechanics out there

I have an Olhausen Eclipse pool table.....8 footer. My question is this....is it possible to move the table on "slides" without disassembling it.

We are putting new carpet down and the carpet installer told me that they move them "all the time" using furniture slides. But, he isn't a pool table mechanic. Moving it on them is easy.....whether it messes up the table is the issue.

The slate is three piece....I believe it is 1/2 inch slate.

Probably have to slide it 10 to 15 feet one way and then back.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I used to roll tables around on dollies often.

It all depends on lifting it by spanning the frame
