Mike, where'd you disappear to? Have you been out and about since the SVB mess?

I am writing it this way since I know he visits the forum. But anyone should feel free to answer...

Perhaps you should contact Steve Goulding at Snookers. My guess is he will know where Mike is. As far as I know, Mike is still the "house pro".

Can anyone explain the svb mess? Or is it taboo? I always miss the good stuff....

This may be the ONLY smart thing the little punk has done: Get out of town before Shane finds him! But, he's not smart enough to STAY outta town!

I may be off a bit here but I think it had to do with Dechaines` comments about SVB dating a younger girl. I am sure I will be corrected as to the particulars

Right; but I really was hoping not to rehash that whole mess. I was just curious if Mike has been shunned by promoters or something, since I haven't seen him on a stream.
 
In life, sometimes people fall down, some harder than others.

What shows strength, however, is those who can stand back up again.

I wish Mike well and hope he can learn from his past. We are all members of God's human family, and as such, we are all subject to errors in judgment and mistakes. Lord knows that I've had my share in my 63 years on this earth. :embarrassed2:

The difference between you and me, Johnnyt, is that our lives are not put on public display in print for all to read. ;)

If the skeletons in my closet were ever showcased in print for all to read, I would not like it at all, and it would be very hurtful.

None of us are perfect, of course, and people do make mistakes. And some come back stronger than ever because of the mistakes. Sometimes failure and mistakes in life can be a good thing if it makes one stronger and better. :)

What is Shane going to do? Does he look like a tough guy? He's a professional and he's not going to let words cause him to do something stupid.

I'm sure Mike will be playing in the super billiards expo in 2 weeks like always
 
I didn't start this thread to bash or question Mike's character; rather, I just noticed his absence, and wondered if promoters were either ticked at him or were worried that SVB wouldn't wanna show up if Mike was there because of the distractions. I know the latter is unlikely, because Shane is the consummate professional and wouldn't let personal stuff get in the way of his career.
 
Isn't he between sponsors? That could also be a contributor to his lack of presence at events.
