Someone always seems to start this thread so why not me. I didn't spend a lot this year. I was going to buy a revo shaft but in the end I'm playing so good with my 314/2 right now I just felt I don't need to pull the trigger.

1) Molinari glove .. still my favorite. All though I wish I could still get a straight black one.
2) a fingerless glove from the people running the Chinese 8 ball table. I swear all these gloves are made in the same factory lol this one was only $15 and fits great.
3) bought a jacket for me and my wife and a shirt from the new guys in town lights out billiards apparel. Really nice guys who own the company and every one was wearing there stuff.. It's all quality material and something you wear to the office without a doubt. Stand was always packed.

That's about it. Wanted a set of the cyclops skittle balls but I didn't really need them so I didn't' bother. I also wanted a plain black butterfly case but no one really had anything.

Does talking to a cuemaker about a cue which I'm placing the order for tomorrow count?

good weekend

For Free
A Molinari glove (think he took pity on the ancient beat up one i was using) and I am ordering one for the wife when the women sizes come out in August. Also gave us each some Molinari chalk to try... SWAG!

For the wife
Q-Claw (cause she really wanted one)

For me
The wife 'stole' my 3/8-10 modified Dunkel so bought myself a plain jane Olivewood Curtis Roberton

Q-Claw single cue holder. I own the 2 cue holder, but it takes over the side-pocket of my case. I only need to protect my shooting cue because my breaker is not so great. Shipping on the single cue holder can be as much as the piece, so I have wanted to find one at SBE. In previous years, no vendors brought single cue Q-Claws. I saw them at two booths this year and picked one up for $10.

I also picked up a T-shirt that asks "Why isn't Kim Davenport in the BCA Hall of Fame". It's a worthy cause and I'll wear it at pool events.

Make Pool Great again hat from Outsville ( I mean how can you not get that thing).

OB Chalk paid for my son, he lost a cube of Magic Chalk and bought this to replace it for me.

About a $50 donation to the action tables (spent money so must be a purchase, for some humility). Learned I can't play cold after never playing on 7 footers and then waiting every 6th game to shoot again against people that run out all the time so you get no time shooting.

Some very serious wandering around the JB Cases booth debating with my self if I want to spend $200 on a case when mine is still fine. Did not pull the trigger yet, so still with my Elite case I won in a raffle on here years ago for $10. An Almost Purchase :)

McDermott G501 cue for my son, was a second with a two tiny 1/2 mm blemishes for half off MSRP (and 180 under retail), he had a really bad showing at the tournament and I thought a change may help him focus on improving again.

I ordered a jump cue from Curtis Robertson, something I've been meaning to do for a couple years.

I bought:

Curly PH and Birdseye blanks
Dennis Searing Tips

Then I got all the goofy gimcracks like:

The shaft sanding curved hand tool (from the Sleeve dudes)
The Chalk Butler

Freddie <~~~ and other things I can't remember

Cues...

I bought an Icebreaker 2 break / jump, and a Mezz Exceed custom ebony with 6 burl points, then had Tiger put a nice stacked leather wrap on it...

I bought another JB case and a Molinari glove. I don't play with a glove yet but thought that I might give it a try. I also stopped by Billiard Bill's booth to say hi. I had ordered a Pierce cue late last year and it came in a couple of weeks ago.
Both Bill and Jim Pierce were there, nice guys. I'm liking the new Pierce cue very much. I tried to buy a couple of t-shirts but Bill gave them to me and wouldn't let me pay.

I chatted with Jerry Briesath for a few minutes and he offered a free mini-lesson, which we did. I have his 3 DVD set and think it is very well done. He's such an upbeat gentleman and a real icon of the sport.

I traded my Schon R12 and something else to a bicentennial Palmer from Mike at Omega cues. He is the easiest guy to deal with soft spoken straight up guy highly recommended dealer. Also talked to Jack Justis and picked up little goodies. He said this could be his last appearance at the show

1. Molinari and Kamui gloves
2. JB 4x8 rugged case
3. Accu-Rack to support Chris
4. Mezz ultimate turtle rack
5. Q-claw for 3 cues
6. Insert changed of a wx900 by Lomax

Cheapo Lucky cue for my girlfriend who wants to give pool a try.
Molinari butterfly case for me.
Just placed an order for a cue with a cuemaker who I spoke with there.

I don't think I've ever left that expo without a cue. Two years ago I vowed to buy nothing and wound up winning what is now my playing cue in a raffle.
