Predator "black shafts?"

Well , hit some balls with a black Revo.....its accurate..maybe too accuarte for some players ...but so are the Old aluminum cues from the 60's. They had no ferrule and a tip stuck on the end. Sometime's you need a little flex to twist the bank in. No new concept here....foam filled carbon fibre. Does not feel like a wood shaft..of course. Blah.

I'll take a boost in shot making over an inability to bend a bank.

I hit about a dozen balls with this shaft at SBE. I haven't played pool in about half a year, hit a few balls with a friends cue before trying this shaft and hit a few racks of balls later that night... and it's night and day. If I get back into playing pool, i'll be using this Revo shaft without a doubt. Call me a sucker all you want.

I'm with Cleary on this one. I also shot with it at the SBE, and loved it so much I talked my way into getting one now to demo. I've sent in my information and my shaft should be coming to me soon. I can tell you a LOT of people will get a chance to play with this shaft via my lessons and shows.

AFAIK, there was only one shaft broken, not several...and that was due to total abuse by the owner. You can break anything if you try hard enough. I have been using mine exclusively for the past 9 months, and it performs spectacularly for me. I have also had hundreds of people try out my REVO, with all comments being complimentary (with the exception of perhaps the black color). There is a world of difference between the Predator REVO shafts, and the McDermott I-shafts.

Scott here knows what he is talking about.
It is funny how the stories change over time  From one shaft broken by abuse to several shafts broken by play in one event

I'd love to try one out. Too bad there aren't any near where I live so I see some $ burning in the future

I just mated one to a P3 after hitting with one at the Derby. Absolutely unbelievable shaft and I found it entertaining to read all of the negative comments from when the post was created.

If you see someone with one of these shafts, ask to try it. It's not just the LD properties. Everything requires less effort.

Is this your main player now?

Nobody buys a P3 because it's pretty

Yes this will definitely be my main player. Any other cue I play with will be using a Revo shaft.

Is there a noticeable difference in terms of play & hit between the P3 vs their other cues that just use the C4+ technology?

I chose to P3 because I heard the butt was a little larger in diameter. I can't say for sure if the hit would negligible between another series but I doubt it.
