On the last day of the expo this year I placed an order for a JB case with John directly. I was given a very good price and paid in full at the expo. Was given a timeframe and the case arrived in that time frame. I didnt design anything too extravagant.

I prefer butterfly cases and was using a Pred 3x4 which did the job but wasnt too comfortable. I really like the backpack straps idea especially for going to tournaments and the expo and stuff like that. After a long day at the expo, a single strap starts to get a bit uncomfortable and then you just wake up the next morning (provided you even went to bed at all just to sling it over your should again. Rinse and repeat for 4 days. I dont like carrying anymore cues then what I need so I went with a 2x4 and I like a pretty plain and black case so I chose all black everything.

John sketched it out, I paid and went home. Maintained a good line of communication via email and was given updates as requested. All emails were answered within a days time. I am not familiar with the online order system John uses, but ordering it right from him at the expo was a cake walk.

The fit and finish on the case is great. One thing I liked is how snug the main compartment zips up around the cues. They cannot budge at all and even if they could the padding is very thick. The pockets are great. I love how the middle pocket unzips all the way to the bottom so it can fold completely open. The magnetic pocket at the very top is really convenient for chalk and Joint caps. When wearing the case, it's very, very light thanks to the weight distribution over the backpack straps. The straps and lightly padded and comfortable as well.

Thanks to John and his crew at JB Cases. It's exactly what I wanted.

Sweet Icon :thumbup2:I like 2x's jet black, no frills, non attention getters. Cant beat those JB's.

Only Butterfly I own is 4 x 8 and it rarely goes out. It's compact and light until it's loaded for takeoff.

-Kat,

-Kat,

I know what you mean. That is my main reason for downgrading to only what was needed and going with the double straps. Last night was the first night out with it. It's just easier. It's like it's not even there.

I got my case last week from my online order, like it as well. Pockets are well done, good size.

Only thing I did not quite like is that the pad is not movable, I thought it would be able to slide around the strap but it's stitched to the strap ends.

His name is Heath?

OK.

Not sure he was ready to tell us that but there it is anyway.

Why are you on my nuts about this? First it's the videos I do showing people's cases with their names on them and now me addressing a customer by his name.

Some of us have known each other for a long time and we are all cool with calling each other by our real names.

I guess this is just one more reason I really prefer facebook these days. I have never liked the anon BS on these forums. Anons are the WORST. I am serious. Even the ones who are "nice" are like dealing with ghosts. Sorry but if you have something to hide to the point that you are seriously worried that someone uses your "real name" then don't be on the internet in any interactive capacity. Consume content and don't create any.

Obviously this doesn't apply to things like political speech in the vein of protest or that which can cause you serious harm. If one is speaking truth to power then power can sometimes be very vindictive.

But in the course of normal discourse on forums, getting trolled is about the only reason I can see to maintain a "privacy" bubble.

Anyway, why not let the person called by his real name speak up if it bothers him?

Ah, I love simple black or black-on-black. That's a beautiful case, thanx for sharing. -Z-

We were doing movable ones but we stopped because they get torn up too easily and we are on the hook for those. I will be happy to make you a movable one if you will agree that we are not responsible for wear and tear on it.

thats nice. I love the backpack straps as well. I may have to look into to this. What was the turn around time?

Just go to the website, jbcases.com. there may be something already finished that would be shipped to you right then. If you order something the turnaround time depends on what you order. They will protect that Bob Owen if that's what you decided to order, lol.

I would be interested in hearing more about this. What do you charge for just the strap (single strap, not backpack)?

Nice looking case OP.

Deal, Red strap black pad, let me know how much, I have your PayPal address and Matt has my info (you probably remember me from a few SBEs and meeting at NJ with my son), name is Lazar.

BTW, I added a towel ring to my order while on the phone with Matt and the thing looks tough enough to pull a tank with! Nice job.

I sent emails last Friday, 5-26 concerning having a tweed case built to support@jbcases.com and sales@jbcases.com As of now, I've gotten no response from either. Have I used the wrong method of communication?

Just to point something out, this was Labor Day weekend and I am betting they had an early Friday and had Monday off. So really your email is new to them LOL.

I see things like this at work, someone comes to my desk and tells me I had this request from them for almost a week. It was put in Thursday at 5, wound it's way through the offshore helpdesk, approved by the manager Friday at 3 and was assigned to me 30 minutes before the guy showed up at my desk on Monday LOL 5 days in his head, 30 minutes in mine.

Excellent case.

Glad to see a detailed post with pics.

JB is a case nut...or nut case ...whichever way you want to see it there is no denying the man knows his cases and can back that up with his products.
