Corey Puts a 9 pk

Bar box 8 harder than 8 ball on 9 footer. Every other game hater on big table imo

LOL!

If this is the case, then why is Darren's 8-ball tourney not being played on a bar box considering he has made every attempt to make the game harder?

Anyways just my opinion and some pros agree with it. At someone like SVB level it's easy on any size but for average players breaking out multiple clusters and having pinpoint shape is difficult

Last thing I'll say is yes it would be easier on barbox if you had monster break and equipment was good thus eliminating the multiple clusters

You see that is where you are wrong. You don't need pin point because it's easier to make a ball an thus more forgiving.

Try making a ball one diamond from the corner in the opposite corner. Now try it on a 7 footer. The 2 extra feet is huge. Also the smaller shelf on a Diamond is also a plus.

Simply put a 7 footer doesn't demand great shape because the potting is easier.

"For most pro players it is more difficult to BNR eight ball on a bar table" - SVB

I do respect your knowledge and pedigree I would say as a man of science the numbers don't bare that out.

Potting not the argument. More clusters and easier to get on wrong side of ball on barbox. Of course longer shots are harder

If you look at this information it looks like it is about the same with pro players.

For top players who are great shot makers like Jayson Shaw, I would be willing to bet he will run out eight ball, shoot what you make more often on a 9' Diamond table than on a 7' Diamond table. I don't think it is a huge difference, probably 3-5% more often.

Jayson is a bit of freak who puts an emphasis on potting over shape. Kind of like comparing a dragster to a F1 car and saying the dragster is faster.

I would be willing to bet that Jayson or any other top pro would be capable of running a large package (say 7 or more) on a bar box before a standard 9 foot diamond.

Just because they are good enough to run out on both tables doesn't mean that they can't consider the smaller tables to be harder to get out on.

For example- I put a ball on the lip of the pocket and the cb center table. Shoot it in ten in a row. Then, I put the ball two diamonds up from pocket, cb in same place as before. I shoot that in ten in a row. I made both balls the same amount of times. But, no one will say that they are equally as easy.

You went 1 post over your limit. :)

Great point.

Maybe the difference is ya'll play so bad you can't break up the clusters? Doubt you could get out on a 9'er either - fact

Maybe the difference is you don't play as good as you think you do.

Amateurs certainly have a better chance to run out on a bar table.
We are talking about top Pro's having more difficulty running out between the two tables. It has been proven from statistics that there is very little difference between the average pros that played in recent tournaments as to their percentage of BNR's. No one is saying it is hard for them to run out on either table as this is proven because they do it more than 50%. The top pros that I have talked to believe it is harder for them to run out eight ball on a 7' table, I would think they would know better than any of us.

I might not - you are welcome to play too. Those stats are also from invitationals for the 9'ers, which means most likely the best of the best. The 7' events are open.

I do respect your thoughts, I just don't agree with them.

What's the point of woofing at people you don't know and will never play unless you're within reasonable travel distance to play? It's condescending to assume people can't play because they disagree with you.

Where are you?

Youre the one who said lots of people can play
