Will Ferrel and Ben Stiller Pool Movie

Buddies on a road trip.
or
Opponents in a league
or
Hustler vs. Hustler

Vincent, Julian, Amos are all on the same apa team. The movie focuses on the squabbles between the three of them because they are all 7's and can't all play every week. High drama and a tale of struggle ensues. Much of the story involves them trying to recruit people who have never had played pool before and have no potential for improvement. They visit senior centers to recruit older women to join their team...

A movie about Efren could be pretty good. He has such charisma, started off poor sweeping up his uncle's hall, sleeping on the tables etc. He is after all "the Magician".

Vincent inherits some pool stuff from late and forgotten friend Eddie from years past and trains for US championships and the game has changed to 10ball with young guys and aiming systems and such. The whole movie is about trying to fit in when hustling is killed by smart phones etc. maybe gets butt kicked going into next town ???

Gorilla vs. Bigfoot

A pool playing Gorilla plays Bigfoot for the Cash. They get pissed at one another and a fight ensues!

Afterwards its a grudge match and they exchange sets of 9 ball and settle the score of the final set by playing One Pocket shooting fancy moves!

Tom Cruise drives the Big Foot out to Las Vegas for the finals and the Gorilla goes back to the jungle of New York.

In the right hands, a real movie about the, as a different thread labeled them, "broken" people who haunt pool rooms could take Best Picture.

Loneliness among aging men is fast becoming an epidemic in America. The pool room is the perfect backdrop for addressing the subject. Sprinkle in the druggies; ex-cons; random degenerates; college kids; decent players; and normal people, and the movie is a theatrical winner.

If it would help or hurt pool is debatable.

New Tom Cruise Pool Movie

Tom could play the same character as in Color of Money but in the present time 2017.

The movie could show the decline of pool rooms, bowling alleys, drive-in's and western civilization into what it is present day.

A reflection of America and what it stood for once.

Sort of like the movie "Bar Fly". I loved it's upbeat look at life.

Read "Bowling Alone"
Bowling Alone: "The Collapse and Revival of American Community" is a 2000 nonfiction book by Robert D. Putnam. It was developed from his 1995 essay entitled Bowling Alone: America's Declining Social Capital. Putnam surveys the decline of social capital in the United States since 1950.

"The Savior of Pool"

Young, confident infomercial entrepreneur is banging balls with his friends and get's an idea to finance and promote a big tournament. Big money involved. TV coverage, newspapers, magazines. Draws a large crowd. Produces instructional videos to sell in infomercials.

Tournament is a huge success and pool becomes a recognized sport.

He is "The Savior of Pool".

No, wait.

No one will believe it.

His true story would make a great movie. A sad story (for everyone) but interesting.
