Who do you air barrel?

FWIW, I don't have any money problems. Never have had any money problems, never air barreled anyone in life, never bet more than I could afford to lose.

The smiley face should have given you a clue in the Title area but hey, I'll break it down for you a bit more so that it can get through that dense head of yours.

This situation came up a while back where I was playing a guy and he was being staked. I got out ahead with a quick start and his stake horse, unbeknownst to me told the other player that he was "out", but the player kept playing knowing that he didn't have enough money to pay both me and the sidebetter. He lost and had to make a decision which one of us to pay.

Hope that gets through to you. No worries, just try and keep up in the future.

How does this change anything? He knew he didn't have the money and kept playing. Like I said, if you don't have the money to pay... don't play. It's so damn simple. Don't pick who to pay and who to air, DON'T AIR ANYONE. How does that not add up?

As much as I wouldn't do this imo it's a no brainer to air barrel the side bettor since the player actually worked for the money. I'd smooth it over by giving the side a rain check, or a couple plays where he backs me and takes 100% for double.
 
Of course, most of us wouldn't air barrel anyone. (While it has already been mentioned that I was the one who got air barreled instead of the side bettor).

The thread was made in jest about the choice that my opponent made and a couple of fools like Lou Figueroa just don't see the humor in it.

I didn't accuse you of doing any air barreling. Don't stiff anyone. Neither is ok. That's the answer. Not you, not anyone. Nothing about what you posted is funny, cute or smart. Don't stiff people.
 
Back in the day when I was playing out more actively shall we say, I don't remember this ever coming up even once. It would have been unthinkable.

But alas, that was back in the day. Maybe the fact that it even comes up now makes it a Millennials thing, kinda like paying for a bag of chips and two soft drinks at a concession stand with your debit card.

Hey, there's an idea-just transfer money to the otherwise air-barreled winner from your smartphone to his!
