Meucci Cues warning

funny, I guess everyone here that thinks this is outrageous needs to just relax in your opinion huh. :boring2:

Ironically enough I work with one of Dennis' cousins.. thanks for the heads up.

This has been posted on AZBilliards and on Facebook forums many times over the years.

People that deal with Meucci have known about the problems for a long time. By the way-----the problems have never ended. The rumor that Meucci is back and making good cues again is a rumor so just stop. It's like it always been.

The favorite lines used by employees at Meucci is----it will be out next week and yeah, we're working on that cue right now. Just need to let the finish dry or it's finish but just needs to be sprayed.

I never recommend anyone to send a cue back to Meucci and always warn people about the wait.

And after all this I still love my Meucci cues and still deal with them. I know what I'm getting into...kind of like a rocky marriage.

The best thing to do is to talk to Bob Meucci in person and tell him what's been going on. He really doesn't care but he might try and resolve the problem.

I'm sure your cue is still there in a pile...but it's been put on the back burner and I'm sure they are in no hurry to fix your cue. You would of been better off to send the cue somewhere else, or just buy another one off ebay.

.

Somebody from Meucci must be on AZB and have to had read this thread. Meucci's ignoring this thread actually says a lot.
Say something negative here about a cue or case maker and they respond. John Barton from JB Cases responds all of the time to negative threads about his product. Recently OB responded to a negative thread. Why no Meucci?

And this is why I just bought a JB case and own two OB shafts and recommend both to people. Along with Outsville products. People may complain about them but they will come on here and ***** right back at you or explain things.

sadly, I used my 80's good interactions with Meucci as a baseline and didn't assume that they would have fallen to this level. I like your advice about how I should have sent it elsewhere or bought off eBay - good stuff ;) why didnt I think of that.

I've never had an issue with any of these GREAT repair shops: Scot/Proficient, Dale/DP cues, Tim/TS(rip), Ricky/RH cues... and would never assume that they changed one bit from their stellar service.

Everyone I know sends their Meuccis to Scott Erwin for repair. He is a one man show, and he may take 6 weeks instead of 3 or 4, but you get your cue back and it is done right. Meucci has now farmed some of their work out to him from what I hear.

I actually switched brands after a ridiculous encounter with Bob at Valley Forge some years ago so I wouldn't really expect any help there.

Fellas, I'll probably just end this thread here and say thanks to all of you for replying with helpful comments and taking notice. I appreciate the mods putting up with it for the past 6 pages...letting me get this vent out. Yall have a good wknd.

So, just out of curiosity, if you haven't gotten you cue back, did you consider trying to
call the Meucci house or one of the registered agents at home?

I mean, if no one is willing to send your cue back what do you have to lose?.
All they can do is hang up or say no, or give you some other BS excuse
