If he told you it's out 1/16th and you find it to be out 1/8th, he's gonna catch hell !!!Thanks for the info. If it is that difficult and costly of a repair, then I do not think the cue is worth repairing. The seller told me that the roll out is only around 1/16 of an inch, so that does not sound too bad.
"Trust me though, I probably am as stupid as most people on this forum think I am."
Total BS. You want people to think you're stupid or unintelligent. The reason why you qualified that statement with "probably" is that you yourself know you aren't.
"And, I honestly did get confused about the difference between a bent pin and a warped pin."
Maybe so. But then that shows that you are over-analysing a distinction with no difference. Over-analysis is not a marker of being dumb--if anything it proves you're thinking too much.
"Does that make me a retard? I guess that is a matter of opinion."
And both your opinion and mine is that you are not unintelligent. For some reason, you just want others to believe it. I don't believe crap like that.
You just read a post regarding the usage of the word "retard" but you chose to use it to describe yourself (in spite of the fact that another AzB'er finds it offensive for reasons previously stated) probably because using it against yourself helps establish your case. I'm not buying it.
By the way, I'm glad to have made your acquaintance and if I was playing pool at the next table over to yours I'd probably be paying far more attention to your conversations than to my own pool game but that's just because I'm a nosey MF'er and paying attention to my own pool game can get really depressing at times.
11 mm and a bad roll, ugh, do yourself a favor, buy something else, like a new Schmelke sneaky
Soulmates discovered on AzB. I wish you two the best of luck.

Are you certain that it really isn’t you who may in fact really be disparaging Justin’s actual intelligence level by not recognizing his subtle genius?
I’ll betcha he doesn’t appreciate you defending him in that manner.
There are a number of us who like following Justin’s posts because of his well-defined persona’s ability to subtly manipulate his audience and pull the strings on his fellow AzB posters like puppets in a sideshow. He’s my god of AzB’ers at the moment. Nobody does it as well as Justin.
Now, do I really have any clue to what his intellectual capacity is? Not at all. But I do know he’s no dummy. Do I find his manipulative techniques intriguing? Yes, I do. But that doesn’t mean I like his techniques either. I just find them fascinating.
His ability to clearly articulate his thoughts and intentions in well-written fashion displays more than just a minimum of intelligence. When he says that he doesn’t know the difference between bent and warped, do actually believe that? That he’s that stupid? Well, do you? I hope not.
He’s like a ticket-taker at the Merry-Go-Round at a sideshow. And I respect him for it. But he never stops the Merry-Go-Round. Once you’re on the horse he just makes it go faster and faster and faster and he never stops the ride. He’s the current Teflon Don of AzB. Nothing dents him. His pseudo-humility is like a coat of armor—his persona’s greatest defense.
And I don’t know whether his pseudo-humility is real or fake—he’s amazing.
We’re all personas on AzB. Nobody can possibly be exactly what they present themselves as, here or anywhere. But Justin has it down to a science—it’s like being stuck on a train track and you know that damn train is gonna hit you sooner or later.
If he told you it's out 1/16th and you find it to be out 1/8th, he's gonna catch hell !!!
I wonder if you can match it up with one of the 5 warped shafts you bought. Maybe if things are aligned just right (in the universe) the warps will by diametrically opposed and you will have a laser straight cue that hits "lights out" and never have to sell it!
Thanks would be so cool.![]()
I agree. you are putting 300 plus UNCERTAIN repair costs into a worn, used cue. say $200 more or less for a new JOSS shaft on top of an existing problem. you can get a JOSS cue through Walmart for $243!!!!!!!!!!!! sounds like a deal to me.11 mm and a bad roll, ugh, do yourself a favor, buy something else, like a new Schmelke sneaky
Just buy it and forget about the warp and bent screw.
And a don't-bother-just-yet, if he is going to replace the shaft.
Justin48762...quit your silliness and buy a real cue. These 100$ ones that are fixer-uppers with a twist ar too painful for us.
Yes, you are going to pay 400 instead of $300, but you will have a ready to go cue.
You seriously need to stop buying these fixer users already. Just save 500 instead of 3 or 4 $100 junk cues & buy a Diveney sneaky you seem to enjoy.
Check the For Sale section. You just might find a Nice Joss for sale
Dave...

It's actually a word. It appears in the dictionary, and has been used in written language since the 1700s. Your prof couldn't slap you, unless he wants to get slapped back with a dictionary.
It probably just needs re-facing at the joint....which is a couple minutes on the lathe.
Warning...Justin looking to buy a cue on Open Billiards Market.
Seems someone bumps his listing every hour so it was always on the top.
Hope it's gone by now....
