How much do most cue repair shops charge to straighten out a joint pin?

You just read a post regarding the usage of the word "retard" but you chose to use it to describe yourself (in spite of the fact that another AzB'er finds it offensive for reasons previously stated) probably because using it against yourself helps establish your case. I'm not buying it.

By the way, I'm glad to have made your acquaintance and if I was playing pool at the next table over to yours I'd probably be paying far more attention to your conversations than to my own pool game but that's just because I'm a nosey MF'er and paying attention to my own pool game can get really depressing at times.

His pseudo-humility is like a coat of armor—his persona’s greatest defense.

And I don’t know whether his pseudo-humility is real or fake—he’s amazing.

We’re all personas on AzB. Nobody can possibly be exactly what they present themselves as, here or anywhere. But Justin has it down to a science—it’s like being stuck on a train track and you know that damn train is gonna hit you sooner or later.

Received the cue today. Turns out, that the the forearm of the butt appears to be warped a little (when I rolled the cue on a pool table tonight), and that is what is causing the roll out in the tip of the shaft.
 
I wonder if you can match it up with one of the 5 warped shafts you bought. Maybe if things are aligned just right (in the universe) the warps will by diametrically opposed and you will have a laser straight cue that hits "lights out" and never have to sell it!

Thanks would be so cool. :)

I agree. you are putting 300 plus UNCERTAIN repair costs into a worn, used cue. say $200 more or less for a new JOSS shaft on top of an existing problem. you can get a JOSS cue through Walmart for $243!!!!!!!!!!!! sounds like a deal to me.

Just thought I say I just bought a cheap southwest knock off and the pin was bent it came from a new member named Rackattach. Thing is when I told him I could tell by his response that he new before he mailed it.
He told me to mail it back and he fix it, I told him just paypal me back 20 and I have a local guy fix it . He said he only send me 10 dollars LOL so I told if if he need the money that bad to just keep.
Hell by time I remail it and buy a box to mail it in (cause his box was rip down side an not use able) I would have well more than 20 in it.


I plan to make a thread about this when I have more time so I can respond to it.

BTW - Some of you seem to have it out for certain posters on AzB.
No matter what they post you pile on.
Some of those posters may have good points and intelligent information to share with their Billiard Brothers.

That is what I would look at first. My Friend Colin bought a nice Joss, it rolled funny, so he got a deal. We took it a cue maker, he faced the joint on both sides... Voila! Straight Cue.
