Does anyone remember the shaftmaster? Am thinking along those lines just better?, remember, tips only.

Could not agree more- you invested in a business and you should invest in the best business tools - cleaning balls with a bucket contraption as some suggested is not the way to go for any serious business person.

I hear ya, and to be frank I would never normally baulk at the cost, however these machines are just not worth that much.

Am looking up the bludworth now though....

If you went out and bought the parts to build the Diamond double platter ball polisher yourself, you'd already have about $400 invested in parts alone...then still have to build it. Unlike other ball polishers, the Diamond ball polisher is built to last forever, and it does, i would know, i designed it way back in 1995 and have never had one replaced because it wore out. Hard times in Sacramento, CA has had one of the first ones i built 22 years ago. Diamond has a distribution center in Finland, check with them to see what your cost would be through them. AND....the sprockets that separate the balls are specifically to fit snooker, billiards, and pool balls with no gap between the sprocket and the balls, ALL other polishers are not capable of sizing the balls, which really makes a difference in the outcome of the finished cleaning/polishing of the balls.

Back in 1995 when i was building and selling the double platter ball polisher to pool rooms on the west coast....what ball polishers do you think mine were replacing in the pool rooms? I'll give you a hint.... Bloodworth and ball star;)

Thanks for your reply, I have a few friends in the states who own pool rooms and have heard high praise for your work.

Please do not take any offense at my comments about parts vs retail. I have seen a diamond polisher first hand, and yes I thought it was exceptionally built, just a little dear.

My main snipe at cost vs retail is at things like the ballstar and similar.

I'll give the finns a call and see what they have to offer.

Best regards.

Trust me, it's a one time purchase, unlike the cloth on all your tables, no matter how many times you replace it, it's never going to last forever!

While I have never read of it happening to anyone else, the Bludworth polisher let me down.

I had a set spinning away in one ant the plexiglass top popped off, causing a couple balls to become dislodged and then gouged severely.

I have the diamond and it was worth every penny.

Good lunch wif d's Fins, thanks for the pics of your room. Lovely.
