Cool News Story about Schmelke Cues

Thanks for posting this. It is a nice story, and based on my experiences with Schmelke (I own three of their sneakies) you won't find a better business to deal with, they are first rate ! IMO they make a very good cue at a great price.

Hollismason- This is a great TV interview on Schmelke Cues and their facility in Rice Lake WI. I have two of their cues and they really stand by their work.

**************************

The first cue I bought 22 years ago as a reward to myself for making it out of Graduate School was a Schmelke. It's a simple cue - Rosewood butt with a black/white wrap and a white pearl butt cap. A great cue and they worked on it when it went a bit out of round at the joint. A fabulous job.

The second Schmelke I bought for my Dad. Even more simple with Bocote wood with the Schmelke brass joint. After he passed his second wife sent it my way. It's about 20 years old and this is the one I have been playing with most, after I had David Schmelke rework it with the same combination as my Grad School cue.

With both Cues I shipped them to the shop and they worked on them and returned them just how I wished. My Dad's cue was a bit tricky adding a butt cap and I requested a Schmelk Logo and it was flawless.

It's great having a company work with it's customers on such a persona basis and long after they made the cue.

Although I didn't have a misspent youth... I'm trying to make up for it. -Good Stick

Skip,

Please guide me through the process to resize the image on my first post.

Open in Preview (Mac) or Paint (Windows)

Then there should be a selection in the Edit or Image menu to change the image size.

Of course the forum software should be doing this this for us so the screens don't get stretched.

Good eye,it plays better on this cue than the one originally bought it for. Also I'm not
happy with my choice of tip on the Schmelke shaft, triangle is next??
Give the LePro tips another chance, no problems. Also milkduds by pooldawg8 on here. My opinion those 2 are best, FOR ME. GL

Nice story. I have a purpleheart SP from them, and they're just finishing up a cocobolo SP with a 2nd LD shaft for me. My understanding is that it will ship in next day or 3.
To be honest - Joss and Predator are typically my main players; but .... when I get into a slump (which happens all too often these days), then out comes the Schmelke and I get back to working on my fundamentals and basics.
