DCC One Pocket

I do understand the reason for using cyclops balls from the sponsorship point for Greg Sullivan but I'm with Justin why sacrifice the using garbage cyclops balls in a large tournament like derby use the best out there aramith one of the reason I won't play the tournament again after last year as I had multiple issues with the cue ball from cyclops at the tournament

How hard would it be to roll test the balls before they left F^*&*^G CHINA???? I've never used a set so i have no experience to draw on but the number of complaints leads you to believe there's a problem. How much $$$ is Diamond getting to use these things? Anybody privvy to that bit of info.??

I like watching rotation games with Cyclop balls on streams at the pool room. I’m color blind and brings joy listening to the guys ***** when they can’t tell what ball is next. Welcome to my world!

I'm with you on this. I own several sets of balls,
including the original Cyclop. I cannot tell any difference overall.
Maybe it's just you and I that feel this way? ;) We must both be crazy.

Why am I mistaken? Because such and such pro player, or banger, complains that the Cyclop set is not right? They did the same thing with the Measels ball for 10 years, when compared to the Centennial blue circle CB. Now, all of a sudden, the measles ball is the "good one". Give me a break. Its all placebo.

I have a set of cyclop generation 1 TV balls at home. And a set of Aramith Super pros with Measels. They play exactly the same. Only diffenrce is the measles does stay cleaner. But the ball reactions are the same.

The reflection on the balls does take some getting used to, but after a few racks, its a non-issue. Its only visual, it doesn't affect the ball reactions.

Do you ever see Efren or Busty complain about the CB or ball set? They play with the CB on a string, every single event, every single ball set, since they were born. Only the American players are babies and complain about this ball or that ball.

I'll say it again, its a placebo.

Ha ha. I'm colorblind too. I've had the Cyclop TV set on my home table for the past 2 months as I was getting ready for the DCC. To this day, I can't tell half of the balls apart and constantly look for the numbers.

With Aramith and Centennial sets, I'm usually ok in person (but not on TV). The Cyclop tv set, forget about it! ha ha

I dont think they are getting paid anything. I would however think they are getting them much cheaper in bulk from their manufacturer than they could get Aramiths from Saluc.

I will give them credit for changing the cue balls. The first style was not very consistent. The new cue balls seem to be pretty good, I feel it plays pretty close to a red circle.

Some of the older balls bulged slightly at the logo. I rolled a box of them on a flat glass display case one time, and almost every one had a very slight, yet noticeable hop when rolled over the logo.
