I believe he references this in his DVD and maybe on his YouTube tutorials too...

Sounds like a concept he picked up from snooker coach Del Hill.

He may have a vast knowledge of the game but as an instructor he did one big mistake in this vid - he should have played shots towards the right so viewers could actually watch his arm doing the pause..

He appears to be keeping that cue very level to me, so I don't know what you're referring to when you say up and down stroke. I just know that I wish I had his mechanics / stroke !

I am trying to book a lesson with him for next month. I thought it was something he said for maybe rail shots and hoped someone might have a better idea what it was...
