U.S.A Vs Russia Dream Challenge free stream

First hill hill match goes to team USA. Billy played so well and helped keep Tyler from imploding by making some great shots and providing good position for Tyler when needed.

Billy showed a lot of heart and determination after a few early misplays by his teammate. He kept his head in it and didn’t let the mistakes get to him.

Well played, gentlemen.

For me, the microphone settings are ultra annoying. You either don't hear Jeremy or if you do, you get blasted by the Russian guy and the audience applause.I dont think i can last long turning the volume up/down every few seconds.

It's 3-3 overall.

Edit-It seems they have fixed the volume issues on that last break-Hooray.

The volume is perrrrrrrrfect. Don't know if anyone's taken the time to mention this. ;) Mike's were out-of-sync earlier but good now. Best FB stream i've seen so-far.

I tried to watch this, but at least when I was watching the audience would clap at every single shot. After 5 shots I turned it off. Was this happening during the whole even or only when the Russians were shooting? Or just that game I caught?

I think they have a "CLAP" light like on "Price is Right". ;)

Tied 4-4
Day 1, USA won all singles while Russia won all doubles. Today Day 2 is opposite- USA won all doubles and Russia won only single so far.

Disappointing performance by the rookies (McMinn, Ellerman, Styer) so far.
If doubles is 0.5 point per player and singles is 1 point per player, rookies only contributed 0.5 point out of 4 points (i.e. only 13%) while the veterans (including "volunteer" Corey) contributed 3.5 out of 4 points (87%). Why is Corey playing when he is already cut from team ?

Some of the play has been very good. Like Stepanov. He made some very aggressive shots. Been entertaining.

I feel bad for McMinn. I'm sure he wanted to do well and make the team, but he didn't make more than a couple balls in a row and lost 5-0.

Yep. Its not surprising with the pressure. If you have never been in that spot before the mind and the body may not respond.

It was great seeing Kristina Tkach getting out there and trading punches.

You were lucky if you were listening right before you posted. They fixed the volume- The incessant clapping earlier was much more unbearable.

Team USSR is not making many mistakes. Corey and Oscar just got sat down.
Russia just regained the lead 5-4

Was watching yesterday, but I think it was a recorded match. I think in some ESPN events the clapping was also crazy, every shot there was clapping. 4 inch stop shot, CLAP CLAP CLAP. I think the women's events mostly did that. It's almost as bad as having the camera zoom in on the player's face or the cueball as they are shooting instead of the table or having handheld moving cameras in the tables waving back and forth and focusing on some random spot on the rail 4 feet from the shot.

It was and then he loses the rack. Damn. It was a great shot though.

My thing for that is "pool hates people", often you come up with a great shot, only to scratch or get hooked on either that shot or the next one. Which is why I don't measure my pool playing success on wins/loses but ability to execute the shot that I am happy with. Saves what is left of my hair

I've beaten players that make some great cut shot on the 9 ball only to have it go 2-3 rails into another pocket, only thing I can say to that is "sorry, you made a good shot, but pool hates people".

Tap Tap Tap....

Very true Pal. Sometimes that adrenaline rush after a great shot also makes you do something completely ridiculous just because you have the Superman Complex.
