Brand new cue. What's acceptable?

I just got a new break cue. It's not a super expensive cue. $160 new. They had to make it for me as they didn't have the weight I wanted in stock. The cue was made and shipped out 3 weeks later. I received it last night. I rolled it. The shaft has a rather moderate taper roll, and the butt of the cue has a 1/8" warp in the forearm. I know it's a break cue, but it is still a new cue and this is unacceptable to me. It is an American made company not Chinese cheap cue. In my opinion if a cue is $100 or $1000 it should arrive straight. If you can't make a $160 cue straight then you need to raise your price or stop producing products in that price point. I feel like...well it was $160 cue so you get what you pay for.....and the other part of me says this is a new cue from a name brand American company and there is no excuse for it not being straight, it is a new cue! And price is besides the point really. A new cue should not arrive warped. Am I making a big deal about this or am I in the right here? How would you feel about it if it was your new break cue? Thanks

" Expensive or Not-
I would return/exchange

Rather than express my displeasure in an open forum (where manufacturer's names will be thrown out, with potentially damaging consequences), I would much prefer taking my displeasure to the company with which I have the problem. This gives them the opportunity to correct the issue. If the flaw is caused by a problem with their manufacturing process, they may even appreciate having it brought to their attention.

Have you contacted the manufacturer / seller yet? Sounds like you have reasonable and justifiable issues and you need to discuss it with them asap. A new cue should be flawless. If they respond with anything in the lines of what do you expect for $160, I'd just tell them you are returning the cue for a refund.

If you don't like a product, take it or send it back. Simple.

Asking other people whether or not you should like it seems odd to me.

.

Even though you had the cue built to your spec, it is no excuse for them not delivering what you contracted for.

O gosh

I ordered a hamburger the other day, and it was not cooked, what should I do. What should I do, what should I do.

Kind of a foolish question to post ....No? Take a video. Call said reputable Cue company and get a RGA and send it back for replacement including any shipping charges incurred.

Handle it offline
