it was only practice no bet at all
of course i took chances and missed
but also i built my confidence back up

i put my new Tascarella shaft on my schon

I was testing my theory that the only thing that differs
in a cue is the shaft

Well my first test did not support my premise
The Tascarella shaft played good, but I didn't notice
any difference from the schon shaft

Also it did not remind me of the hit in a balabushka
like Tascarellas do in my opinion

Well it was just one small test, but it proved nothing to me

Another player with a stroke tried the cue and loved it with the Tasc shaft
This guy has a very good stroke,i don't but we both liked the cue very much

Then there it is...it's the arrow...not the archer.

The Searing will be there tomorrow. The lauded “S” will impress all the chicks that know who Searing is. Lol

Dean.....since both shafts were piloted, what were the differences in the shafts, aside from brand?

Different tips or hardness? Ferrule material or length? Shaft size and taper length? Weight of the shaft and
weight of the cue butt? The weight proportionality between the shaft & butt is a important consideration.

Most pool players aren't interested in a pool cue's anatomy and as long as the cue hits or feels
good, well, that's all that really matters to them, There is nothing wrong with that approach but
there are also players that want to understand why a cue can feel or seem different than others.

The comparison you performed between the Tascarella and Schon shafts may indeed be accurate
as a laser. In order to determine if the shafts are alike or was this a fluke, it is important....IMO...to
examine the shaft particulars. I discovered long ago that the wood selection for a shaft and the
particular details about the shaft earlier mentioned have an enormous impact on how the cue plays.
