I have been playing the best pool of my life lately
but mostly practice pool,one hole

I finally got a chance to play for $400 a game so i played
straight pool,each game to 30

I missed shot after shot, easy shots but my opponent did too

I got lucky to win $1400(one game was only $200)

I never won a game by as much as 4 balls,he quit

From that day on I have not been able to make a ball
either cheap or practice, every shot I look at looks hard

Have you ever heard of a guy losing it all at once, one day I was playing good
from that day on my game went south

Confidence everything

I know you guys are suspicious, all the guys here are too,but I am serious.

I am only 75 but I am playing like an old man

Nothing like money on the line to tighten those pockets right up.

Been playing great heh. Once you’re on top there’s only one way down. Stay on top. Stop missing.

Might be worth checking to see if there is a medical reason for a sudden change such as this.

Now,I never was very good, but i seem to have become worse overnight

I went from making most of the shots I usually make to missing most of the shots

honest Indian fellas, you ever hear of a guy losing it that way?

I told my wife, she said "good now maybe you will quit playing that stupid game"

"sell that table and make something of yourself"

You think she is on to something?

4 games ahead while winning ea by<4 is admirable to say the least

sounds like you came with something when it was winning time

90% chance your customer will be back after he figures out how lucky you got

if your game is still in the crapper next time you screw together send me your cue, that wand might be your problem when it gets warm in the kitchen....it could be cost effective

Hi Dean. I work for a large eyewear company, so this question immediately came to mind. When was your last eye test? Prescriptions can change in as little as 6 months.

If I didn't miss balls from 2 feet away I would come out and help you find your game.
I was never any good so it isn't like I lost a lot.

QUOTE "Sad story, game went to pot" ............... haha..Mine went to alcohol:thumbup:

Dean - This may ( or probably ) is going to sound dumb, but if you can play opposite hand, hit balls for a few hours that way. It will straighten your young a** right up. I've no idea why or how but it will. Give it a try. After a few hours opposite hand, switch back to normal hand and shazam, problem solved. Give it a try. :yeah:

opposite hand in pool?

Believe it or not,it makes me feel goofy,I can not make a ball

This coming from a Switch Hitter in baseball,I bowl with either hand and once eagled a par 5 hole hitting the 2nd shot against a tree left handed with the back of my 2 iron, so lefty is not bad but not pool
i actually feel dizzy and goofy just trying

rib doner ,it is good to see you are still alive

i thought you would have quit pool by now

thank you for not mentioning that i had very little ability to lose anyway

Dean - It's entirely possible you feel goofy at times regardless of opposite hand in pool. I know *I* do. But, it may just be Father Time sharking me. Dunno... but, that said, as far as dizziness goes, take some of this stuff and have at it opposite hand for a few hours. You'll thank me. You'll have your Juju back.

Billy told you

Billy told you to practice one handed. It gets you in the proper position
and whatever. If I start missing for what seems like no reason, I start
shooting long straight in's There is no guess work. I hit them firm wi h
stop draw and follow At first they don't look right, usually my alignment
or head position has slowly gotten off. When I can whack them in at warp
speed everything else falls back into place.

Yep.

Did you do your eyedrops, your pee medicine, your back pain meds, your stomach soothing pills, your lotion, you vitamins, etc.?

Even if we use whatever as we age, it still won't be the same as when younger and able to sustain play over a long time frame.

I bet when you play well, it's for only a short time. That's how it's been for me as I age, anyway.

Jack - I do the exact same thing. If I miss a few easy shots, I will spend @ 10 to 15 minutes shooting long ( at least 5' ) dead-straight-in shots, diagonally from down by one corner pocket into the far corner pocket, until I make at least 5 or 6 in a row. And I'm framming them, not babying. The kids call me "Sniper" when they see me doing it. The balls make such a great sound when they hit the back of the pocket when I'm in that mode. Usually gets me right back in punch.

Time for a new cue, if that doesn't work, then a new table is in order!

But seriously, I'd listen to your friend Jack, an alignment problem can make you miss everything.
