Camera mounted to light above table

I looked into it a bit when I first set it up, and I'm pretty sure it's possible to run interactive overlays. Don't think there's anything plug-and-play though, and it seemed like more effort than I wanted to invest to get it working, so I gave that part of the project up for now.
 
over the tourny table

we use 2 camera(s) each covering 4.5' x 4.5'

after the camera(s) are focused on the center of each 1/2 table
computer software matches up the images...

setting it up correctly took the better part of 3 days
off and on...

the images can be saved or saved and fed to the TV screen out in the room for all the sidelines to watch

To me this or more cameras linked would seem to be the ticket. I know the formatting of the TV image is NOT conducive to our rectangular shape. It goes against it's grain. I'm thinking, 2 banks of cameras with 4 cameras per bank. Every square foot would be covered.

The video quality looks VERY good, just a tiny bit of fisheye from the full table view directly above the table. Particularly cool is the small, inserted view of the shooter, the system seems to be able to automatically detect where the shooter is and displays the shooter when the balls aren't moving. The frame includes perimeter LED lights and appears to be mounted a normal ceiling height above the table. Lot of potential here, every pool room could have a 'TV' table setup. That's really cool!..........but I don't think I'd have a guy dropping an F-bomb on my video if I was trying to sell anything

Interesting. Do you have a sample video on youtube so we can see what the result looks like?
 
oh yeah, will do.
Bought it at Sam's, they had one set up and running during the summer, I'd check it out
every time I went there, the picture didn't seem too odd standing back about the height
off the table the camera would be. 5 megapixel super HD it says - Samsung.
add in the above info - I'm jazzed at the possibilities.
 
Bump for 8&out and Dan_B, do you have any video of your system? I'm about to redo my table lights and was looking into an overhead camera idea again. Thanks.
