Cues of the Greats

[billinboston]

Where are the cues from past legendary players ?
In private family collections? Auctioned ?
Mosconi’s cues have been at auction...
What about cues from Irving Crane, Ronnie Allen,
Boston Shorty, Steve Mizerak, Joe Balsis, Harold Worst
Luther Lassiter ?..... just to name a few
Are there pics of any of these legendary player cues ?

Many of the players cues are in the Glenn Family collection

mosconi's cue that he ran 526 with
Fats Gina,Ronnies Gina,Balabushka
cues from Eddie Taylor, you name em

some of these guys had more than a few cues but Dennis has at least
one cue from almost every player of note

The last Balabushka shipped,Jersey Red's szamboti,he has over 100 Gus Szamboti cues
including the cues of many a champ
Another hundred or more Balabushka cues

Someday he hopes to display these cues in a museum

i don't think dennis plays much pool

His dad was a pretty good player, owned some pool rooms

they got into collecting cues and other stuff from famous players

They have given a lot to pool and pool players too

Dean - Were they somewhat visionary in that sense...starting collecting these treasures before it was so popular?

Denny has made me generous offers on my cues in the past.

He gave me his number and told me if I ever wanted to sell.

Seemed like a nice guy.
