What kind of table did John Schmidt do his record breaking run on? How big was it and how big were the pockets. What cloth was it and what balls.

Heck, what cue and tip? Tell me it was a hard rock Maple shaft and a Milk Dud tip!

I couldn't stand over a 5 gallon bucket and drop 626 balls in it.

Amazing feat John Schmidt

He did this interview a day or 2 ago:

He answers all your questions there, but from memory I recall it was a 9' table, not sure of make or pocket size, revo shaft and predator butt. You're not far off with the milk-dud tip though, he was using a techno-dud tip which is very similar.

Hopefully I got those details right, but all those Qs are addressed in the vid.

What's with the Sardo on his shirt? That some kind of retro deal? Those pieces of crap aren't made anymore are they?

He’s said 9’ Rebco, 5” pockets at Easy Street Billiards in Monterey, CA. Predator Revo 12.4. His glove looks to be Predator Second Skin.

Techno Dud from Outsville.com.
I bought it separate and brought it to my guy.
When installing it he immediately remarked that it "cut much nicer than a milk dud and was a higher quality material"
First time he saw one.
Love mine so far!

Early 2000 BCA move from IA to CO

And even that site is dated 2014. SR is the dodo-bird of pool.

Not really, he was just one of many (non-players) during that time period, who thought they had reinvented the mousetrap and could possibly make a living and improve the game.

During my tenure at the BCA when it moved....many other items, like ''rack around'' often showed up in our mailbox at the BCA office. The pipe dream of the Olympics set many things in motion that often were just another creation from a non pool player.

He must have gone to a museum or a flea-market to find one. I haven't seen on of those things in a lonnng time. Gotta be why he ran the 625. ;)

I think a lot who bought one still has theirs.

Freddie <~~~ bought one and has his

What did JS had for lunch that day?
Since the run was from 10AM to 2PM the real question is what did he have for breakfast. If only it had been Wheaties.

Start Time -- 10:04 AM PDT
End Time -- 2:07 PM PDT

$69 for a Sardo, seems like a good deal, I paid $74 for my noisy Delta.
If course what do I know , I once paid $28 for 1 pc of chalk.

I stole your "I couldn't drop 626 balls in a bucket" line.
Funniest John Schmidt related comment I've heard!!!

I always liked the Sardo. DEFINITELY not a "piece of junk" as someone said.
I'm all about the Accu rack nowadays though!
$69 now? Wow! That's cheap.

Me too!

Wowser, good news for me. I have a 9' Rebco with 5" pockets. How come I miss all the time and he don't?

I need to get a Sardo Rckandf try to break that record before Dennis does. LOL

Also, get a ball polisher to use every rack and a rack boy. And a pallet of Red Bull. And some of that $30 chalk and a CF shaft. And a wife who is willing to watch every ball and bring you stuff to eat.

Then you should pretty much be set.:D

J/k about the Red Bull.
