I msg'd them and they sent me dimensions: 4&5/8" corners, 4&3/4" sides. Shelf depth is 1&1/8" at corner and 1/8" at sides.
Can't rattle a ball in the corner pockets, if it goes past the points of the pocket, its down.

That depends on what's ordered, but factory is 4 1/2"
Not even close, the pocket shelf is to shallow. Making the pocket opening smaller has the same effect on the pocket shelf, it makes it even more shallow.so from what I've read on the rest of the posts, they are just rails designed to make bar tables(in this case valleys) harder to play correct? would a valley than play just as hard as a diamond 7 footer with those rails?
Those are buckets for pockets, throat of the pocket is wider than the mouth, which deflects everything to the back as well as no slate shelf for the balls to sit on....LOL
I've never seen pockets on any table cut like that. Every ball that touches the facing will drop. Is that in a room/club setting?I did notice the mouth was tighter than the throat, but did not know that made it easier than a standard 4 1/2" Valley pocket.
What you say makes perfect sense. Next time I visit that room, I'll be sure to choose a different table.
