Everyone who plays events in casinos knows gambling is illegal playing pool. Been several threads about the gambling at the DCC, as its NOT a form of gambling they are licensed to promote, and what's really screwing it up is the side betting, THAT is illegal in every state because it has nothing to do with paramutual wagering.
I am guessing that gambling on pool is illegal because it’s to easy to throw a game? Is that correct?

There wasn't gambling on sports anywhere in the US other than Vegas, that's obviously changed, and who said they all have to play in a Casino ,, the International was played in a hotel , ,

prohibited by the Casino and illegal by law are 2 different things.I wouldn't doubt that the Hotel and the Casino are two separate business entities also but Im just guessing on that.

Well then do everyone a favor, tell everyone the legalities of gambling playing pool, and side betting as well.
I see that wisdom and class don’t come with the ability to deadlift 825lbs or do good work on pool tables.
Betting man to man on a game of skill between participants is legal-Side betting is not in most jurisdictions.

You would have to be a complete idiot to draw a line in the sand and say pool will never be bet on here , when the king of who brought gambling to the U.K. In snooker and pool has taken up residence here in Vegas and owns the rights of the 2 biggest pool events we have ,,

Sorry buddy, but not even the KING can change the laws governing gambling on pool tournaments. I can gamble against .y opponent all day long, that's legal. But I can't bet YOU I'm going to beat him, that's side betting, and THAT'S illegal.
Casinos have NOT yet allowed betting on pool matches during a pool tournament, and there's no betting windows to place your bets at currently.

Ok, let's say betting on pool was legal world wide, how does that help put money in a Pros pockets....odds betting will NEVER be allowed ever again!!! So tell me, how does betting on pool make it better for the players???????
You ask "my opinion" of how many players worldwide "I think" should make 6 figures, not how many will or does compared to snooker.

The only people gambling on pool matches caters to is the bottom feeders and the leeches in this industry.
And I agree with your opinion, but i feel there's another way to get that done, and I'm working on it.
Legal gambling and the players will rip you a new new one.
Don't believe me? Go to a tournament and let just two players that are in finals know your betting big on them but not gonna give them anything........lol.... you would get chopped faster than cheap meat.
