Dr. Dave just retired from his "day job"

Congratulations. I spent over 30 years in a different profession and was glad to retire the first day I was eligible.

Then I picked up a pool cue and bought a table to keep me busy. Hadn't played much since I was a teenager until then.

Congratulations, I retired in 2015 and I was able to add some pool practice into my daily routine. It has helped my game. You will be surprised how busy your going to be once retired. Enjoy the journey.

Well, Doc.....looks like you’ll be expending the same energy...
...I don’t think you’re retiring...maybe just redirecting your focus.
As you travel to more events you may find you’re still dealing with a lot of the same personalities.

But you’re going to have a lot of fun...gamblers are the funniest unpaid comedians ever..
...try and catch the DCC this year.

Congratulations on your retirement from academia. True happiness is when you can devote your time to something you love. I wish you all the best in your new chapter.

Congratulations. I look forward to meeting up with you at events. And now that you have gotten rid of that pesky day job, maybe you'll have time to learn one pocket.:groucho:

Congratulations Dave! It is mind-blowing that what we've seen from you to this point has been part time. Please let me know if you are confirmed for DCC. I'll be there and would love the chance to meet you.

I can’t swing it this year, but I hope to next year. I’d like to meet you also.

Catch you later,
Dave

Now you can do "Boot Camp" all year round!! lol

Several people have suggested this, so I'll add it to my list. I would probably base it on the 10 summary bullets in the middle of the page here:

Congrats to you Doc

So, are you gonna start competing, maybe on the tour or something like that...? Now that you have stable money coming in, you can go places, meet some people & have some fun.

I was going to send you an email, but I will ask the question here, because there may be others that want to know.

Do you have any lessons or charts on how to "tie the dots on the rails together. Something like the old Hoppe book....?
