Really wish called shot/ called safe 10 ball became the dominant game when it had a chance years ago. Why the pros wouldn't have demanded it? Can't imagine losing a world championship to rolls.

What game involving balls doesn't have rolls? NO way to remove all luck from the game. IMO call shot/call safe just might be THE most boring form of pool there is. My $.02 here, nothing more.
 
Appleton played 9 to 10 combo and took the win. Supposed to be no early 10 balls, so it should have spotted. Ref nowhere to be seen. WTF?

Darren picked up cueball... Foul. Then he picked up 9... Loss of game.
 
The ref was nowhere to be seen?? They called him and then he made a ruling... Which was wrong.
 
I know this is not the point but . . . Darren would have made the 9 then the spotted 10 anyway :)
 
No 10 Ball early is a DUMB rule anyways. A called shot is a called shot.

The explanation that Ko had to stop Appleton from picking up the 9 ball is absurd.
 
They both looked a little off, Darren much more so though.
