So, how much did he lose ?

If Lou is treating all his customers like he is JB I am gonna go out on a limb and posit that he ain't getting much action.

Yep, your game is not that great and nothing to be scared of. That's why it was so easy to beat you the first time we played. You're simply one of those people who take the fun out of life and it's really a crime against the universe to give you any of the time a person has on earth. The only reason you get it here is because of the content being created and google's spiders eating it up. And, selfishly, I like telling you what I think of you every time you pop your head up and start knocking.

We have played 19 games of one pocket. The game score is 11-9. The match score is 1:1. The money score is your group +10k and your part being less than half of that. So, no there is no reason for me to be afraid of your game. With even a little bit of serious practice you likely have no chance. But regardless it doesn't even matter to me anymore because even if you offered 10:6 and odds on the money I wouldn't play you. There is literally NOTHING short of some millionaire offering me a million dollars win or lose to show up and play you that would ever entice me to play.

Lou's thought here: so you're saying there is a chance to play again?

lol.

This is why you will always be a sucker.

I rarely play for more than $10 a game anymore.

Used to be in action for $200 sets every night but not anymore.

Don't mistake Lou for having customers. He's the chihuahua who barks like a German shepard. He's Jack Shit personified.

Even in the case of an actual professional gambler, a documented loss is only valuable to the extent that it can be used to offset a reported gain.

There are no negative numbers in the tax game.

Of course. The IRS never gives any previously paid tax back if a business declares a net loss. All that can be done in some cases is to allow a loss in one year to be counted against profits in subsequent years. This was the strategy Trump used iirc to declare a huge loss and then get like ten years of use out it for the future returns.

And I could be totally wrong, that's just what I think I remember.

We already know you’re a big JB fan, no need to over do it.

And so why did it take you so long to get down then? This sucker had been asking you to play since 2003 and you ducked and ducked and ducked. I came though STL and told you I was coming and you ducked. You ducked until someone else finally talked you into it.

You could have beaten me a decade earlier and had an extra 10 years of "fame".

I said I wasn’t going to post about it anymore, but I’m breaking my rule. John reached out to me and has been very kind, and I’m hoping for the best. I will most certainly share a photo of my case when I receive it. I have no doubt it will be great .

He would love to avenge and everyone knows it.

Lou Figueroa
he just can't
say that out loud

No I wouldn't. IF I wanted to I could come to St. Louis and play on your table. I could have done that anytime. If I cared to play you I could prepare and be really sharp and bust you and every person who dared to bet on you. But I chose not to do that because you're not someone I care to spend any time with.

But you can cling to the fantasy that I am scared of you. Tell eveyone that John Barton, the case maker, is scared to play you again. Say it often. John who? Barton, the JB case guy, plays horrible, terrible form, huge pool sucker, I beat him of 10gs that I had to split three ways, that John Barton. Tell it as much as you want to.

See, the difference is I got into another match over the internet and that guy showed up and we played and we respected each other and I asked for a rematch and got it and we played and I lost but we respected each other. And I still respect him even though we don't see eye to eye on some subjects. So no, Lou, it's you. You're the poison that killed any chance of us ever playing again. And furthermore if you ever even approach me again sticking your hand out in friendship I will tell you where to stick that hand. You are without a doubt one of the most awful humans I have ever had the displeasure and misfortune to know. But your one useful quality is that you volunteer to help promote by your incessant dishonest criticism. That allows the discussion to continue long past the date it would have otherwise faded. So, thank you for that.

Nope. I'm appalled by your constant baiting of John. You are every bit his equal.

They both are cut of the same cloth.

OCD to the max.

Neither of them can let the other get in the last word and, in JB's case, the last 1,000 words. The same incessant shit, over and over, from both of them. Worse than WWE BS from both of them. Like kids in the 3rd grade playground. Your mama.

Borders on insanity.

That's a cute story. You have tons of unverifiable "stories". Tell us the one about how everyone in LA was scared to play you again?

I always loved that one. Especially part two where the LA people spoke up and told a very different version of the story. All a matter of perspective I suppose but the bottom line is that somehow you couldn't/wouldn't play anyone there despite you claiming that you were looking action and them sitting there every day waiting for action.

And tell us the story of you getting barred from the classic iconic pool room Cue and Cushion. What's your version of that again. Please tell us that one.

Right, but in my case I get free ads from it. Crazy Johnny sells high quality cases...don't have to like him but damn those cases are great! See how this works.

Imagine if I were here all the time spamming the forum wouldn't that be fun?

You when I come here these days? When someone sends me a link to a thread. That's it. If there is something that they think I should see I show up and give my information and leave when there are no more questions to answer.

So as long as Lou wants to talk to me or talk about me I will be here. So you know who you need to be talking to if you don't want me to continue.

To be honest, I never really wanted to play you.

And $10k was way out of my comfort zone but I was finally persuaded to play.

I'm not a one-pocket expert but I'm eating dinner and can spare some before I go back to making dust.
There are a ton of one-holers here that would have shot holes through Lou like Chow Yun Fat in a John Woo movie. :D
Wayne, who I didn't know until he beat Morro at Shooters in a big tournament, would have shot holes through Lou. Even at 9-7, I don't think would have liked it .
Plenty of one-holers in LA looking for action back in the 90's and 2000's.
From Hard Times to Hollywood to the valleys.
Late.
